Hotel was lovely staff friendly Easy to find
pleasant and convenient location
Friendly staff, decent breakfast.
Toilet was not flushed properly when I arrived.
Every aspect of Are stay was faultless
The wasn't anything not To like
The room was stinking of cigarette smoke.
Friendly staff in the hotel and adjoining pub
Place is near family so convenient for me. Also on the same grounds as The Mount pub, a very pleasant place for a drink .Easy and close access to M6.
Second time we have stayed here and again the room smelled of cigarette smoke. Receptionist assured us that smoking had been banned but there is a strong residual unpleasant odour. She offered air fresheners but I would suggest cleaning or new curtains and carpets.
Very good location very comfortable.
Slope down to car park very Slippy with leaves and moss.
Location Staff comfort of bed Room heating Cleanliness Proximity and friendliness of staff at Hungry Horse restaurant linked to the Premier Inn
Unfortunately the link from the slip road at Junction 26 to the Premier Inn was closed for road works. The first I knew was when I approached the previous junction. There was no diversion sign visible so I spent 45 minutes touring round Wigan to find an approach from the other side. While I understand that Premier Inn has no control over the closure, it might have been a nice gesture to text or phone clients to make them aware of the closure since they have contact details. Just a thought....
good location for the visit we were on, clean and tidy and value for money
steep slippery car park, poor television reception, and a bit stingy with the tea and coffee sachets
Good location and facilities. Very efficient service.
Rather hot and impossible to open windows. Being close to the motorway opening the windows greatly increased the noise level.
Only one bath towel and only one hand towel between both of us. Water was scolding, cold water would not mix, therefore no shower, Staff did not seem interested, We have stayed a lot of Premier Inn, but are thinking of not staying again, very disappointed
Helpful staff. Plentiful breakfast
Cracked sink in room 15. The sound proofing wasn't quite good enough to keep out the M6 noise. The mattress was not as comfortable as Lenny Henry would have you believe. (Broken spring)
Greeting after midnight from the staff on night shift. Even though I didn't need to go to her for anything she made it perfectly clear that if I did it wouldn't be a problem
I tried to phone the hotel from around 6pm to 8 pm but there was a constant to pick up. I wanted to ensure that they knew we were going to check in after midnight.
There was nothing I can say I liked
Would never stay here again hardly had any sleep due to noise from other rooms there was brown stains on the carpet and hair in the bed the shower wasn't powerful it hardly dribbled and the room looked like it hadn't even been clean as for the bath was just discusting!!
I added a second night to a booking I made earlier. The Premier Inn system showed me that it went through but didn't send confirmation email. On the day of our arrival I was informed that they do not have a room for me and my family and they can't do anything if I can't "prove it"! Very inconvenient. Fix your IT system premier Inn. I had to do a second booking through booking.com which is far more dependable.
Room Breakfast Staff
Lovely welcome from staff, lovely room, good breakfast and nice pub next door.
Sadly the noise from the motorway led to a poor nights sleep.
The fact that Premier Inn acknowledged that my experience was not up to standard and gave me a full refund.
There is a clear airflow problem in this hotel. It smells damp, to the point where it affected my asthma, and even made our clothes smell. The room that we were then moved to had the same problem, and was also ridiculously hot. This was an extremely unpleasant stay, and I would not recommend anybody go to this hotel until their airflow problem is fixed, especially if you suffer with asthma or any other breathing problems.
am a solo female traveler on business. this is the only hotel to put me on the Ground floor near reception.
Next to motorway but not a sound in the room, staff polite and helpful. Restaurant value for money.
Location close to motorway was convenient. Clean. Reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the staff at the pub where breakfast was served. Shower was hot.
The hotel was definitely in need of refurbishment. The breakfast was not very good quality and was over priced. Room was dark and damp. Overall it felt like a student hall of residence.
Access to motorway system. Cleanliness of room
Noise from motorway traffic
