am a solo female traveler on business. this is the only hotel to put me on the Ground floor near reception.
Next to motorway but not a sound in the room, staff polite and helpful. Restaurant value for money.
Location close to motorway was convenient. Clean. Reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the staff at the pub where breakfast was served. Shower was hot.
The hotel was definitely in need of refurbishment. The breakfast was not very good quality and was over priced. Room was dark and damp. Overall it felt like a student hall of residence.
Access to motorway system. Cleanliness of room
Noise from motorway traffic
Handy for the JJB Stadium and easy to get to from motorway
Motorway noise throughout the night.... right throughout the night....
Room clean and comfty Staff friendly Pub next door great, food was very nice and priced well
Food good staff friendly abd helpful room clean could do with modernization but generally good
Smell of damp in corridors a little noisy from the 2 motorways very close by.
Staff very nice, it was our anniversary and when the receptionist found out, a card from the hotel was pushed under our door. We thought it was a lovely touch.
About 3 in the morning we woke to other people going to their rooms and couldn't get back to sleep because of the air con making an intermittent noise every 30 seconds or so, instead of the usual constant hum, about 7am it went back to normal hum.
The staff were brilliant.
The Hotel was really good & it was very cheap on our stay which was a saturday the room was very clean & tidy plus always had hot water which is a must with young children.
The food at breakfast time was at a very poor standard for what you pay, plus cold tea & coffee not good at all. Its put my family off having breakfast at the premier inn for good. I know it depends on where you stay & what time you have breakfast to get a good meal but we experienced a bad one.
The location was really good and the food was really good
Cleaners and Bar staff were nice
We were kept awake all night by a wedding party staying there and went down to reception to find the night receptionist fast asleep, just wanted to get to sleep but that didn't happen and the reception staff weren't interested customer service skills non existent. Use premier inn quite a lot but won't be anymore .
Hotel Cleanliness of the accommodation. Close to the M6 +++ Personnel at reception helpful and pleasant.
Soap dispensers in the bathroom Uggg. The' Mount' Restaurant, meals presentation basic but food reasonably good. Main grievance tables sticky, cutlery not clean, everything tacky. Same applies to breakfast dishes, went through several to find clean dishes, that's poor. Breakfast although good would be better put out as a buffet. Tea/coffee provision considered poor i.e. not hot enough. Staff, Mmm.
The convenience of location as we were visiting friends close by .
It was noisey but we already knew that before , can't be helped when next to motorway . It was very warm in room but fan was provided. So nothing really to complain about .
Stayed in 2 hotels in Wigan before - awful! So hoped for 3rd time lucky - and it was! Usual Premier Inn expectations met - plus v friendly helpful staff and great pub to get meals from. Would recommend and would happily stay again
it met all my needs for this business trip
shower didn't work in room
Was clean and tidy, staff were helpful
Could hear every floor movement above
Great location straight off M6 and central to Wigan. Rooms clean and premier standard. Restaurant next door excellent food. Could not book but put name down waited 40 mins for table. Ample car park spaces right next to premier. Beds made up, staff very friendly and I would definitely stay again.
Old style premier and the bathroom ive stayed in more up to date but it was still good. Room small side but all 4 beds made up in room ready. Steep steps and hill to reception should be noted but manageable. Steps up to restaurant. Premier on a bank.
As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by a happy face and couldn't be more helpful with anything we needed to know, a great start to our stay
Disappointed is an understatement with the comfort of the bed, given that you have Lenny Henry advertise sleeping in "comfy" bed is false advertising considering I'm the same hight as him and my feet hung off the end of the bed, big let down to a great start!!!
Having stayed at other Premier Inn hotels I liked the familiarity.
I knew what to expect so I was not disappointed.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Room was dirty, carpet stained and grubby. Bathroom had brown rusty stains. No indication of hot or cold taps. Shower confusing to operate as knob has pieces missing. Musky smell in room.. worst premier Inn I've been to. Food was an insult. Breakfast was grey looking bacon, shrivelled eggs, dry sausage, dirty plates n cups. Couldn't eat it at all. My daughter ate hash browns and threw up.
Breakfast was poor
