I have stayed at that hotel many times and always been more than satisfied but this time was very disappointed with standards. We only had one towel in the room, the bathroom was not very clean, despite supposedly having been recently refurbished. The tiles wer cracked and the area behind the taps was dirty. In the bedroom, although the sheets and pillows were clean and fresh, the premier inn bed throw was covered in dirty marks - chocolate I think, but it looked like an animal with muddy feet had walked all over it. Sayimg that, the receoptionist was really nice and helpful and I compliment her on her service. We travel a lot and unfortunately have found that Premier Inn standards are consistently dropping whereas Travel Lodge seem able to maintain their standards. I hope that you willredress the situation as up until about 2 years ago Premier Inns were great. Linda Jones

Good location for a base whilst travelling around the M6 area. The Mount next door is handy for a wide range of meals. The staff are on 24 hours and cctv is used in the car park. It's a personal preference but I prefer a walk-in shower. I don't like standing in a bath to have a shower and the shower head is fixed at a height suitable for a person four foot tall.

I booked the hotel as I was going to a football match in wigan and the location was ideal. Because the room was cheap I wasn't expecting a great deal, but I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. I had everything I needed and the staff were very pleasant. Would definetly stay there again.

A fairly typical Premier Inn, clean, tidy, economical and well located but stands out for the friendliness and warmth of the staff, both in the hotel and the restaurant attached.

We bought 6 breakfasts and none where eaten. It was stale cold and inedible. We have stayed at Premier Inns all over the country and never had any complaints before. I am not one to make a fuss on the day as it may upset other customers but I thought I would let you know. I would recommend the Inn to other travellers but certainly not the breakfast. PS We had lunch the preious day in the same retaurant and it was excellent

I do not feel that the room or the extra cost for breakfast was justified. They fell well below par for the cost involved

A good hotel. Comfotable, and good value for money. The hotel is on a hillside, and their is quite a steep walk from the car park. This could be a problem if wet and slippery (eg. Autumn leaves), especially for older people. Steps and a hand rail, rather than a steep slope to walk along, would be a help.

We like to sleep with our bedroom window open for fresh air flow. Unfortunately it was raining during the night and the guttering and down spout were overflowing which created a waterfall outside our room. This meant we had to close the window which resulted in patchy sleep for both of us due to over heating.
