Big comfortable bed. Very clean hotel. Handy for the train station. Booked this hotel for the 12pm check out time which is a real plus point.
Room thermostat set to 25 degrees on arrival.
It was clean breakfast was great staff were friendly what more do you want ?
Had a lovely time, hotel nice, clean and staff were great. Location great 2 minutes from the train station
Hotel was a pleasant place to stay breakfast was very good also ate at the table table restaurant one night my wife me and four friends and the food was great would stay there again if I was in York
Nothing short break went to plan
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed.
The "scrambled egg" at breakfast was beyond awful.
Great location, clean and comfortable. Peaceful sleep. Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Large choice at breakfast and of the food I tried, it was delicious.
Situated on a busy street next to the centre and York rail station. This hotel is perfectly placed and has a real buzz about it. The restaurant/bar is a warm, cosy and well staffed by friendly waiters. The breakfast has all you need and is as good as any Hilton or Marriott. Thank you Premier Inn...
Confusion between North and South hotels, web site did not make this clear, very difficult access to parking, on street access very unimpressive.
CLOSE TO RAILWAY STATION. CLOSE TO TOURIST AREA. NICE WELCOME AND VERY FRIENDLY STAFF. NICE ROOM & GOOD NIGHTS REST FOLLOWEDBY HUGE BREAKFAST. *****
NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT
Close to the train stations, friendly staff
No elevators, hence inconvenience for those who have big luggages.
TO PAY FOR CAR PARKING IN HOTEL GROUNDS
Helpful friendly reception staff especially Emme
no telephone in your room.
Staff were very friendly and helpful hotel was clean and comfortable good value for money breakfast was excellent
Great location, rooms clean and beds comfy
One or two of the cleaning staff need a wash (smelly). Breakfast was in another building down the street and was so busy we had to go elsewhere.
Location Friendly staff Room size
Outside noise but not a major issue
Great location for the city centre and lots of lively evening entertainment - very busy central spot in fact.
The hotel is getting tired - musty and cigarette smell. Refurbishment must be due? soap/shampoo empty.
large room cleanliness of room
restaurant had to go outside to get to it breakfast expensive should be included in price of staying in hotel noise from staircase when people going up/ down stairs - should be more carpet to avoid additional noise from metal edges on stairs view from window there wasn't one!
Location was excellent, only a few minutes walk from the train station and right next to the city centre. Rooms were clean and the buildings of the hotel were lovely. It is set out around a courtyard with several old buildings. We stayed in the Viking building and although it overlooked the courtyard where the bar was, it was still quiet when the window was shut, and guests respect the 10pm til 7am quiet times. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast buffet was fantastic - we were particularly impressed to find crumpets!!
Although the staff were friendly, it took quite a while to actually get checked in. We had four rooms booked, but it must have taken about 15/20 minutes to actually check in. It shouldn't take this long! That is the only negative we had to say about this hotel.
Location Size of room
Breakfast was beautiful ,rooms were comfortable and such a great nights sleep overall premier inn is a great hotel
Very close to one of the city medieval gates. Very close to the station. Perfect location.
All was ok
We liked the location very much, the rooms were quiet and clean, easy access to the buildings at the back by the reception
We have stayed at other Premier Inns, and we prefer to have the cooked breakfast brought to our tables, especially with young children - we found that the food was not as hot having to self-serve and see to the children and a lot less hassle
City centre location!
Common areas dirty - even when pointed out to reception staff nothing done "The cleaner is busy and will come when they can" - a used earbud on the floor for more than 24 hours!!!
Location, location, location V quiet room - kids slept through!!
