Premier Inn York City (Blossom St North)  

Good location a few minutes walk from the railway station. This hotel has another one next door but one which is where the pub/ restaurant is located

There is one building of the three, the Viking building , which is adjacent to the car park entrance which the drivers from an adjoining private hire firm use as a taxi rank. This does produce a degree of noise although they do try to be as quiet as possible.

Room clean and tidy. Staff helpful. Excellent breakfasts especially full English breakfast. Terrific dinner menu at reasonable prices. Specials operate on weekdays. Convenient location just outside Micklegate bar within walking distance to central York and attractions.

Only half an hour free wifi. Not enough if you're a business traveller. After that you pay 10 pounds for 7 days per device. This is at all Premier Inns. A bit cheap when it's the biggest chain in uk at the moment. Surely they could afford to provide free wifi, especially for business travellers.

Lacking in character

Atmosphere of premier inn was great , close to everywhere we wanted to go,great restaurant .

We booked a double room and got a double but the bed was two singles pushed together and the materass wasnt one full one and resulted in a bad sleep as the edges of the beds was hard and right in middle , and booking a room for £94 we expected better and having to pay for 24hrs parking aswell was a joke , guests of hotel should get free parking

was not expensive, lovely helpful staff, clean, walking distance to Minster and shopping, good restaurants in area. Hubby loved power shower. I loved coffee shop!

I liked the hotel and it was great that there was a Costa Coffee on location. The staff were lovely and helpful and the room was nice and clean

The beds were very hard and uncomfortable and so were the pillows

The windmill pub on site,had advertising banners on metal pole and metal rods holding them down. But in the windy conditions of our stay,they blew over every night and rolled around,while doing this the metal rods kept clanging and keeping us awake.

The bed was comfortable, the breakfast with kids go free was great - eat as much as you like and very varied. The location was an easy walk to everywhere and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff was incredibly helpful. This was our first time in the uk and they helped us with directions and all questions we had.

Needed more towels but that's probably a us thing!

The staff are fantastic and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I have stayed in 5star hotels and got much worse service.

Thought £73 +£8.50 for breakfast was a bit steep and adjoing restaurant expensive, must compete with Witherspoons across the road

The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The receptionist when we arrived brought soya milk to our room, so that I could make a cup of tea.

There was only one receptionist at the desk when we checked out just after 10am on Sunday. She handled the queue very quickly but there should have been two people at the desk.

The warm and friendly manner of the staff we had contact with. The young lady who helped with room temperature was an excellent role model for your hotel.

Friendly & helpful staff at Reception, although a little slow. Good breakfast.

The price was advertised including breakfast. This was not the case, although Reception staff honoured the stated price.

Went for a romantic weekend with my wife.as a late valentine surprise as due to work commitments was the only time we could go. Room was previously booked well in advance. On arrival we had to wait sometime before we could get into the room as it was still not ready to occupy. On third attempt we finally got into the room only to discover we had been allocated a room designed for a disabled person. Although I very much appreciate that such rooms are needed they are very different to the usual premier inn room as would be expected for obvious reasons. As a very regular premier in user the room did not feel comfortable to myself or my wife. When I approached front desk about our feelings we were informed that it was more than likely fully booked and was allocated the room for that reason.If I had been given the choice when I booked the room I would not have taken this room..Also we didn't like the access route to get breakfast . very unlike premier inn to not have everything done as well as possible. My wife was so upset by everything we left that morning a day earlier than planned and had to pay extra for rail ticket to go home!!!! Overall a very disappointing experience that I am not used to from premier inn . wasn't quite the same as our stay at county hall premier inn ln London last month !!!!!!

Staff so friendly and helpful. Room kept much cleaner and in better repair than other lodges/inns we've stayed in. Perfect location. Breakfasts beautiful!

Mistake over my booking. Having to go in and out of buildings to get to dining area.
