Friendly staff. Easy motorway access. Practical rooms.

My room had windows that didn't close properly and being close to the main road it was very noisy?. Did complain but nothing was done to change the room they said they were full booked. This seemed strange as the car park was half empty?.

Very friendly staff who when heard that we were celebrating our Ruby Wedding gave us a card and a complimentary bottle of wine with our meal. Excellent location for accessing York using the Park and Ride. Access to the Beefeater through the hotel reception.

No razor point in the room and had to ask at reception for an adaptor, which was willingly provided. Lack of a comfortable chair in the room.

Poor position, worst view I've ever had from a room, side of office block and bins. No where to walk for a breath of fresh air. Same story in room-only one chair. Beafeater menu not very inspiring, plenty of chips, not much veg as choice.

Comfortable, decent sized room.

No fridge in room. There were no laundry facilities at hotel (I think this standard Premier Inn practice though).

Family room was a standard room with an extra bed wedged in Child's bed was a mattress on the floor between two other beds and we could only get into bed from one side or by climbing over each other Room nowhere near big enough for four people

The whole experience, from booking through to juggling rooms to meet our request for early check-in - we had a wedding to attend. The staff were very obliging. Even the cleaners were interested that we enjoyed our stay, as we were leaving.

We had difficulty getting to the hotel and they were great about talking us though on the phone. Food was good. Rooms were delightful. Temp in the hot tub was just right for the kids.

We were later in arrival and so the children could not swim the first night-- not being able to swim after 7pm is hard when you are doing lots in the city.

The room was very comfortable. Spacious and clean.

Although I understand the reasoning, seeing signs offering rooms from £29 when I have paid nearly double is a little frustrating.

This venue was chosen for the Millfield Beefeater pub, which we used for an AGM for our MX-5 Owner's club. The reception staff were very helpful in providing a suitable room for my wife who was recovering from surgery, providing additional pillows to make her stay more comfortable . The licensee/manager was excellent in his service and support of our needs, providing the conference room and projector/screen facilities for our AGM presentation, simply linking a lap top to the equipment. We were accommodated after the AGM for a meal in the main restaurant, with excellent food and service by friendly and helpful staff. Needless to say we have since returned to the Millfield Beefeater for a meal with members of our driver's club.

Friendly service from all the staff in the hotel and the restaurant next door. The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent value for money. Will definitely book this hotel again when visiting York.

Bed layout in the family room was somewhat crowded which effected overall comfort

We usually stay at premier inn nearer the town centre the one that was holiday inn express as it was the most convenient for us but the price difference between the two made us choose the west.however it was excellent as the staff were very friendly ane we enjoyed ourselves.

Not a big big problem but the mattress seemed to sag at the one side and I felt myself sliding down. The heating had a problem but the receptionist came along and said it was'nt up to the necessary temp so she brought a heater and it was more than adequate.as I say nothing drastic.

Just a minor point. Bed groaned every time we sat on it or turned over. Stayed at PI lots of times and have never experienced this before. Did report to reception so that next people would not have same problem.

Having to pay an extra £8 for breakfast. My sister and I waited over half an hour for a cooked breakfast and when it came it was not very hot. Not worth the money.
