In a secluded courtyard in the heart of York city center, this charming hotel is half a mile from York Train Station and York Minster. It has a fitness center with a gym, saunas and an indoor pool.

Set within it own private garden, just minutes away from the historic center of York, the hotel is situated off highway A59, the York-Harrogate road.
Score from 218 reviews Very good
Location useful from our perspective regarding family. Comfortable stay for a couple of nights.
Difficult to find at night in pitch black (for some reason no adequate street lighting) compounded by driving rain on the night we arrived. Pointed this out to staff member but it appears to be beyond their control. Local authorities should improve this.
Very comfortable room and excellent meal and service at the restaurant. Very friendly staff
Good location for York University.
Brreakfast on the Sunday morning was totally chaotic - insufficient staff and dining room much to small to accommodate the flow.
Restaurant facilities poor No hair dryer in room
comfortable friendly hotel and breakfast was very good.
Expensive for a premier inn compared with others but York hotels are expensive. Had better deals in other UK cities.
As an emergency stopover whilst ensuring our daughter is set up at her Uni. It was an asy venue to relax in. The bed was ample in size and comfort and checking in was simple yet efficient. Staff were pleasant and friendly.
Trying to get Wi-Fi via phone was almost impossible. Paying a £3 charge for 24hours usage was not an issue, trying to register an account with Premier was nigh on impossible.Would like to have seen breakfast included in the price not as an additional cost.
beds where lovely tv massive location spot on just few miles from park and ride
room food staff
That i could not update my booking days before i booked in, i added breakfast but there was no option to add dinner as the meal deal is really good
Staff on Reception were naturally pleasant, positive and helpful. Breakfast was good and despite delay they kept us informed with what was going on which was brilliant. Room cleaning staff always pleasant and said hello.
Evening meal on the Sunday night could have been better as it took almost 1 hour from entering to eating (I did have the camebert which takes longer) but wait was long and food only average (steak firm and ribs dry). Did not complain on night as was hungry!
We were in rooms, which were quite large, away from the main road the A64 and never heard a thing. It was very quiet. Excellent. Breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent.
Personally I didn't like the bed and woke with a backache. We had 3 rooms and all our keys stopped working on the second day. All of our keys!!! Got sorted but a bit of a nuisance after a long day out. Also although we booked for 2 nights breakfast payment was only taken for the first night. Sorted by paying cash but a nuisance for the first ones who arrived for breakfast. Only minor issues though and didn't spoil our stay.
The location was poor so close to A road and the noise from other stayers who were attending a wedding party was unbearable.
The fact that I was phoned after leaving to tell me I had left my phone charger. Very helpful.
When we arrived we were told ( by a very new and inexperienced member of staff who was very helpful) that there would be a phone in our rooms. She promised to check why there was none and to leave a message with the staff who took over since we were going out for the evening. On our return we inquired and the response from the manager was brusque and she was rude when my friend inquired why there was a message on the beds to say "ring this number" I appreciate that it is no longer policy for Premier Inns to provide a phone in the rooms and as I have a mobile it is not a problem for me. However not everyone has a mobile and there is no excuse for such a brusque and rude response to someone who was visiting a Premier inn for the first ( and possibly therefore last ? ) time.
The staff were incredibly helpful when we arrived and even though our room wasn't ready they sorted a room for our grp to get changed in ready for the races. They were willing to accommodate all requests and this paralleled service I receive in 5 star hotels. They got the break off to a great start.
the staff in the restaurant were very helpful
the duvets were far too thick for mid summer and there were no single sheets to put on the bed in their place
Very friendly polite staff, thanks
The bar at night and the breakfast were good.
The watercloset didn't flush sufficiently. My remark about that fact didn't have an effect right away.
Most things,clean,comfy,a good overnight hotel
Lenny Henry looking at me and my wife in bed
We left our kindle behind they let us know and returned it to us
The staff were very attentive and when my partner mentioned that his parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, they received a card and a complimentary bottle of wine which really made their day. Breakfast and evening meal were excellent, the staff more than attentive. A very enjoyable experience.
Absolutely nothing, it was all very good.
Biggest bed, biggest TV, biggest room and biggest bathrooms I've ever come across in a hotel. Well worth the small amount extra over a cheaper alternative.
Lack of blackout curtains
Staff very helpful and lovely
Young people going in at all hours waking us up
Restaurant / Bar facilities are very limited
warmth and friendliness of all the staff. Location great for two park and ride areas- one being at a Designer outlet! Room extremely clean and bright with modern colours. Bathroom sparkled and was adapted for disabled- although we aren't, it didn't matter. Payed separately for evening meal which was hot, very reasonably priced. Breakfast - everything on the menu including buffet and cooked breakfast to order. All good quality food too. I cant praise this hotel highly enough if I am perfectly honest!.
Kettle was a bit limited for space on a unit.
cooperation and good manners of the staff
the evening meals began at 1800. We would have preferred 1700
