Nice and clean room with enough space. The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was good too. We were at a concert at World Resorts Arena and stayed one night at the hotel. The location was not bad if you don't mind a 15-20min walk to the arena.
Moxy Birmingham NEC has a fitness center, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Bickenhill. With free WiFi, this 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a business center.

Disabled travellers need to be sure they get a room with appropriate facilities. Acknowledging a request is not good enough. The exact nature of bathroom accessibility should be clear - e.g. whether space for a wheelchair for transfer to shower seat and WC; Position of grab rails and drop-down handrails.

I booked this hotel because my sister uses a wheelchair and we were visiting crufts at the NEC therefore we wanted to be as close to it as possible. when they built the hotel they had no consideration for people in wheelchairs making the journey from the hotel to the nearby beautiful lake and on around to the NEC center.

Whilst i believe the hotel is being renovated, the carpets in the bedroom were filthy. Looked like workmen had been in there with their dirty boots. Breakfast was terrible, Did not have no choice, we were asked what we wanted. When it arrived the sausage and bacon were under cooked.
Would not stay here again.

Terrible room.
Terrible room. The shower was separate to the toilet and there was nowhere to dry yourself in the shower. Consequently my partner slipped and fell, resulting in a massive bruise. No mats provided.
I will not be returning.

Staff were friendly and helpful . Room comfortable bed.
Staff were friendly and helpful . Room comfortable bed. Disappointed that hand wash and shower gel were empty considering price of room .
Breakfast £18 expensive but a lot of choice .
Waited along time to check in .
As I have stayed at this hotel several times a couple of years ago and therefore knew what to expect, I was positively surprised to see if and what has changed since the last time I stayed. It is still great value for money and I would and will definitely still recommend it to everyone who needs a stay around the NEC/Birmingham airport. One thing that has changed and even massively improved is the breakfast selection. I loved the options and the presentation of the food years ago, but by now it's on a whole different level. I loved it!
Stayed at this hotel for a night when we arrived back to the UK at 01.30 am following a holiday.
Got card to room immediately after arriving, staff very friendly.room clean and comfortable extra pillows were available, had good night's sleep, bathroom nice and clean, compact but we were only there one night so it was more than adequate, coffee/tea making facilities on room.hairdryer available everything there for perfect stay , would definitely stay here again and very reasonable price much cheaper than other surrounding hotels
Excellent facilities, staff, service, food and drink. comfortable, slept well.
Lifts need a service. Not enough lifts, seems that hotel got bigger but the number of lifts stayed the same.
Breakfast excellent remember no supermarkets nearby, nearest M&S Food is at the airport, so you are a hostage to the hotel amenities.
Soundproofing exceptional given location and noise (roads/trains/planes).
Use the short-cut from the back of the NEC to the hotel, avoid taxi unless have huge luggage, exhibition stands, etc.
Location: We have stayed here before when visiting the NEC or flying from Birmingham Airport. Its the perfect location. As part of the Resorts World the Genting Hotel offers everything. Food options are plentiful and the bars / restaurant are great.
Staff: Always happy to assist, friendly and attentive.
Breakfast: Good Quality and extensive buffet style breakfast with something for everyone...
Our visit was to the NEC. The hotel was on the doorstep. Thought it would be noisy being near the airport. Didn't hear a thing. Hotel modern, clean, friendly and welcoming. The food was great and the staff looked after us exceptionally well. Was very pleasantly surprised. This will be my choice of hotel on future trips to Birmingham. Thank you Holiday Inn Express.
My first impression was of the grounds of the hotel. Beautifully looked after, perfectly manicured lawns, lovely flower displays, clean gravel with no weeds and inside lived up to first impression. Spotless, light and airy. The staff in all areas, reception, restaurant, and bars were polite and helpful. They all looked happy in their work.
The highlight for me was the location of the hotel, as it was a two-minute walk from departures at Birmingham Airport which was ideal for an early morning flight. My room was spacious and comfortable. I was only there a few hours and had to leave too early to sample breakfast, but all in all it did the job, and I'd return in the future!
OK but not up to many continental standards. But, overall things were good and would recomend the hotel. Will likely use again if back in the area. Location made it easy to get to the NEC, train into Birmingham or airport. Able to park and leave the car. Coffee was available in the communal area.
Located close to Birmingham Airport and the NEC it was very convenient to go into Birmingham by car. Breakfast was good. Showers were also good in the rooms. There is parking but not free which I thought it was. Its good value for money compared to many hotels in Birmingham.
It's a very cool hotel! The vibe is great and the decor awesome. The breakfast was good and the location was perfect. The staff was also very nice! I will definitely stay there on my next visit to Birmingham.
Comfortable bed, TV and chair in the room, kettle and coffee provided. Ensuite bathroom included in the price. Bus stops opposite the hotel on the adjacent road Falcon Way.
Even though it was a short walk to the airport, the hotel was still quiet and classy.
The on-site restaurant was very good, with plenty of breakfast options.
