This was the first time that we have stayed at a Premier Inn. I stayed with my elderly Mother, who had a disabled room, and my elderly Aunt and Uncle, as we had to attend a funeral in the area. We all agreed that we were very pleased with the welcome, service and generally nice atmosphere at the hotel. The breakfast staff were also helpful and the service was very good. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. 10/10. If I had to find something to complain about, it would only be that the hot water at breakfast was not very warm as it had been kept in one of those flask things, but the staff were happy to bring over a pot of boiling water for us anyway, so it was not really a problem.

As a solo traveller it was great having the restaurant in the building of such a low budget hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Only downside was the clientel...... Despite posters everywhere asking people to have consideration for others, I was kept awake until 2.30 A.M. by other guests shouting as they returned to their rooms.

There was a sewage smell from the bathroom and heavy smell of masking deoderant in the room. Why? The heating system could not be controlled to meet our needs.

The Staff here outshine any other Premier Inn Staff. I stay here because when I'm travelling alone it is often a bit awkward having breakfast on your own or an evening meal but the Staff make you feel very welcome. Brilliant Hotel. I like the refurbished restaurant too.

The staff were professional, obliging and refreshingly cheerful. Breakfast selection and quality was excellent. My only criticism is that the room temperature could not be sufficiently controlled. Despite turning the thermostat to it's lowest temperature, and opening the windows, the room was uncomfortably hot all night. This prevented us from having a good night's sleep. Other than that, excellent value for money.

We had a training course which was right next door. This isn't a complaint but with the warm weather the room was very warm even with the windows open and a small table fan on.

The free 30 minute wi fi was very helpful. The rooms were nice and warm. Service was nice and friendly. It was very difficult to find. We got lost every night we came home. Directions would of been helpful considering to get to it, you needed to take a particular turn to get to the other side of the road.

The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms wad the usual high standard. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Smoking in adjacent rooms. Could smell it inmy room. Perhaps staff should walk along corridors at night to check on smoking. The smell somewhat dampened am otherwise nice experience at the hotel.

“We stayed at the Holiday Inn as we were up to watch a game at Pride Park. We thought the hotel was in the ideal location, close to the ground and the City centre. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. And the hotel was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay with you again. Thank you.” Karen, Hedge End |
