The convenience of being near the airport and the price of the room and facilities

The internet page said the hotel was 300m from the airport but did not specify that it was 300m from the north terminal - this needs addressing.

Location was very close to gatwick airport

The checkin area was awful, no space to move when lots of people trying to check in, also it is right on top of the bar and resturant which can not accommodate this size of a hotel. I was lucky to get a table booked, but we waited 20 mins for someone to take our order and another 30 mins for the drinks to turn up. Wouldn't stay in this hotel again, however the room was lovely and provided tea and coffee.

This airport hotel should not charge for airport shuttle service.

Essentially location for Gatwick Airport, but overall quality and service provided was very good.

Proximity to airport was ideal. The bar tender on the evening we stayed was very polite and helpful.

The restaurant was chaotic. For the number of rooms the bar and resturant facility was far too small. We ordered a meal but there was a problem with the kitchen so we had to reorder a snack, this order got lost and somebody complained on our behalf which resulted in a very quick response and apology, we had the snack eventually free of charge. We had breakfast the following morning, the coffee was the same as in the room, ie add a tube of coffee to a thermos of hot water, the same with the tea. Again even a filter machine would have been preferable to at least have decent coffee in the morning. The full english was plentiful but not good quality. For £96 I don't think it was good value.

For an overnight stay prior to an early flight next day - was excellent.

My colleague and I are not Computer literate; unfortunately the young lady on reception was unable to assist us with a Virgin Online check in procedure. We were able to call on a daughter in law staying at the adjacent Travel lodge who did the job ok except for trouble with the printer which was running out of ink.

Location for early morning flight the next morning.

Always reliably clean. Good breakfast. Staff polite and helpful.

The access details using the airport's shuttle buses was appalling. It was cold and raining at the time of our visit and we walked for over a mile to reach the bus. All directions were confusing, especially late at night after a long flight. This must be improved. If we had missed our bus - and we nearly did - we are not sure how we would have got to the hotel other than walking!

On other reviews I have read on this hotel, people say its a 5 minute walk from the airport terminal....it really is! Great location to stay the night before an early flight.

We had a really bad nights sleep due to a lot of noise from other guests, but this was raised with the hotel staff and we were appropriately compensated. Shame about the noise, but the staff were great about it.

A very friendly and helpful hotel.

Great proximity to the Gatwich Airport. Great pub and restaurant. Great WiFi and reasonably price...3 pounds. Room was just great for just an overnight stay before catching a morning flight. Very good value for the price. Remember we were in the UK.
