Walking distance (5 minutes) from North Terminal of Gatwick airport. Quite spacious room and equipped with: hair dryer, flat tv, cable tv channels, tea&coffee facilities. There are no directions to the hotel either on the airport or on the hotel's website! So - if you want to get to the hotel from the airport you should go to North Terminal (or follow the directions to sofitel hotel on the airport), get by lift to the ground floor, turn left and go alongside the road (currently there are construction works close to the terminal building) by footpath to the nearest junction, turn left and you will easily see the hotel. From the North terminal building it is 5 minutes walking.

The convenience of being near the airport and the price of the room and facilities The internet page said the hotel was 300m from the airport but did not specify that it was 300m from the north terminal - this needs addressing.

Not a complaint about the hotel as such, but we found that the lack of direction signs showing how to reach the hotel on foot from the airport terminal meant time was spent trying to locate the hotel.

Clean, efficient hotel and welcoming staff in spite of being incredibly busy Although only 300m from the North Terminal, travel to the airport relies on an incredibly badly signposted, expensive and inefficient bus service.

I liked it for its convience to Gatwick Airport, just 5 min walk from the North terminal. We flew into the South terminal took the shuttle bus to the North terminal. There is a shuttle bus to the Hotel from the airport it costs £3.00 for an adult and is free for children under 16yrs. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and had no problems whatsoever. Travel into London (Victoria Station) for 2 adults and 2 children cost £24 approx return with Southern railway which entitles you travel on train, underground and buses....travel time from airport to Victoria station takes about 30-45 min with Southern. If you intend staying at the Premier Inn Gatwick Airport Central take the shuttle bus from the airport the first time to get there but you can walk to and from the airport when you see how close you are to the hotel. Its an ideal base to explore London if you are prepared to travel each day on the train.

We stayed at Premier Inn Gatwick Airport Central because of its proximity to the airport for a very early flight. Our plans changed so we stayed an extra night. The hotel itself was great but it is a good distance away from anything else. Signage or instructions of how to get to the hotel could be improved.

Location almost perfect; 4 minute's walk to North Terminal. Friendly staff despite being busy. Comfortable room. Good to have a bar and restaurant. Pedestrian route to the airport is not signed in either direction. The path is safe but rather narrow in places and next to busy roads (but hotel can't do much about that).

Good kitchen opening hours. Reasonably cheap. Close to North Terminal (5 min walk). Professional front desk staff. Only close to North Terminal, far away from South Terminal, you have to use the transfer bus (which is not free!!!) from the South Terminal. Although price is reasonable, the hotel feels very very cheap. No real amenities or other nice things. Not very nice lobby environment. Confusing corridor layout. Building (including our room) feels very worn out and dated. This place could do with a major refurbishment. Transfer bus price is £3 one way, should be FREE!

Coming into Heathrow, we elected to catch shuttle to Gatwick knowing it would be easier to collect hire car and drive out of Gatwick after a nights sleep rather than getting out of Heathrow. This was accomplished easily. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable. Bed comfortable.

Reception staff. Facility to store bag. This can save big time over Airport arrivals left luggage at GBP8.00 per bag per 24hr period. i.e. 2 bags 6days GBP96.00!!! Small bed. Only one comfortable chair. No complimentary toiletries. No face-cloth. Stench from toilet and shower when first used. Having to pay for Airport transfer when stay was obviously because airport was part of plan. Having to pay for Internet. Having to pay for local phone calls.

Location. No Fridge, Rooms looked tired and run down. Breakfast too late for early flights. Initial price cheap but every thing else was extra and expensive. Hotel shuttle bus charged when usually free at other hotels.

It was easy to get to - the transfer bus ran frequently and was affordable. It was clean and friendly I would have liked to leave the bathroom light on for comfort but the extractor fan was too noisy

Ideal for a late night arrival & early morning departure as only a few minutes walk from the terminal,Warm & clean Only 2 teabags in the room. The so called Courtesy Bus cost £3.00 per head! The walk when you know the way is only 3-4 minutes

Reasonable cost for airport hotel compared to others. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. All up to expectations. Nice little restaurant too. It is just a short walk out from the North terminal... If you can find it! The route is not signed at all, never mind anything like a covered or partially covered walkway! Paying £3 for around 300 metres of bus journey is not great value.
