Clean, efficient hotel and welcoming staff in spite of being incredibly busy

Although only 300m from the North Terminal, travel to the airport relies on an incredibly badly signposted, expensive and inefficient bus service.

Only a 5 minute walk from the terminal

Very busy at all times

Stayed just for one night as flight arrived into Gatwick early hours. Room good, clean (bit of a strange smell in there but could have been outside drains). Breakfast - lady on reception a bit abrupt, but food choice etc. was excellent.

Very helpful staff

We had to wait too long to be seatead in the restaurant, but it was very busy.

Five minute walk to North Terminal. Comfortable beds.

Reception not efficient. Check-in very slow. Only one staff on duty initially, but two others appeared only after several guests were kept waiting. We noticed two chatting to each other rather than dealing with guests.

We arrived about 8pm but because the staff were overstretched we were unable to get a meal either in the bar (30minute wait just to order) or in the restaurant (at least 60 minute wait for a table). We ended up with "meal deal" sandwiches from the garage next door. Not good.

I arrived past midnight and had to transit for the night so the location next to the North Terminal was excellent. I walked to the hotel at around 1 AM and it took 8-9 minutes. You need to walk (carefully) along the road/footpath on the left hand side of the North Termina. The road curves and you will see the signage behind the Shell Garage (gas station). Good breakfast for 8 pounds.

As I was going on holiday very early the next morning to Turkey, it was great for staying the one night at a hotel so near to Gatwick Airport. It was very quiet as I had to be up at 3am the next morning and the price was very reasonable. I had a lovely meal and all the staff were very polite and helpful. I will definitely stay there again.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

It was convenient to Gatwick, allowed us to take one room rather than two and was reasonably priced for a brief overnight stay. very good breakfast also.

Poor signage, Sofitel and Hilton are signed and easy to find, we had to ask where Premier Inn was inside the terminal.

Never met such friendly staff before in all my years of travel, they went out if their way to speak to us and gave the impression it wasn't just a job to them but they really enjoyed it

Not much really, being picky some interior fixtures and fittings looked dated, eg corridor doors and reception.

Location* and staff were good. It was very keenly priced and the room was spotless.

Their boast that it is 300 metres to the Terminal is disingenuous as although you can indeed see the building from the hotel, you cannot actually walk to it as there is no pedestrian access. You therefore have to take a bus which doesn't go direct but heads off collecting from other hotels in the area. This should be stated as we almost missed our flight as a result.

Nice friendly and very efficent staff throughout. Great spacious bed rooms and very comfortable.
