The overall standard was excellent and the rooms clean, tidy and spacious. What really made the experience worthwhile was the staff especially Carol who served us at breakfast. She was warm, friendly and had a laugh and joke with all the customers I saw her interact with. She made everyone feel welcome and its evident she loves her job. Please pass these comments on to her. Thank you

Near to the town and facilities but away from noise of nightlife Good size room and large bed, all very clean and modern, nice bathroom and decent shower. Excellent choice provided for breakfast, all in all a very good package at a reasonable price. They guarantee your money back if you don't get a good night's sleep. The fan heater in the room was noisy, plus the window would not open when I wanted a breath of fresh air. Minor complaints really that I could have requested help with, but didn't bother as my stay was short.

My only concern was that you could only feed your children if you purchased a full breakfast. As I don't eat a full breakfast I found this a problem. Might be an idea to cater for children in the future.

When I travel for business, I prefer to have a hotel location close to the customer I will be visiting first thing next morning. The location in Stevenage is perfect for the customer site I was visiting, and is also ideally located for other accounts I anticipate calling on during future trips. The room was well priced, clean and comfortable, ideal for one or two nights in my opinion. I arrived late, around 11.30pm Sunday night, the gentleman at reception was polite and accomodating (I needed an iron/ironing board), and the breakfast staff next morning were polite, very affable and attentive. The iron was old and leaky, that is my only negative comment.

Room good size and and well furnished. Disappointed about facilities available Upset that we paid £51 when the rest of our party paid £29. Although booked double room only 1 towel and 1 coffee sachet in room. No facilities provided for further coffee or breakfast. All in all a big disappointment. Not advised at time of booking that no facilities available.

3Rd time staying there. We have travelled from Australia each time and got in earlier than check in. Each time, the staff have gone out of way to get us our room as soon as possible. We love everything about the hotel. The very friendly and helpful staff, the location and the cleanliness of the hotel are all assets. Staff there have remembered us from previous visits, have taken and interest in our adventures. The rooms are always clean and very comfortable. The restaurant and bar are excellent and great service by both areas. All public areas are immaculate at all times. There is nothing we dont like about this hotel. We would recommend it to everyone,

I like the large bathroom that can accomodate the cot, the ability to order takeaway from our room and the predictability of the rooms and breakfast. My son cracked his head on the corner of the desk twice. It could do with being rounded off to protect against this.

when you arrive if like me you somtimes travel alone , your room number is not spoken out loud and it is passed to you on a card this is one of the major factors for me when i book into a hotel as i somtimes travel alone and dont book in till late at night . The rooms are allways very clean and well equiped for my stay there is never a mix up in your room ie; someone else staying in there as ive had in lots of other rooms in the town !!! staff !!! on my last stay ( september 20011) we decided to eat in the restaurant ( which i feel really lets the hotel down with the plastic tables and chairs ) we were served at our table by a young girl ( lois) she asked us why we were staying at the hotel and we told her that we had a family occasion to attend the next day " wot sort of occasion she said wot do you mean " we told her again a family gathering, she wasnt happy with this reply so my husband told her ok its a funeral my wifes father !!! oh she said is it a burial or cremation ?? so i said cremation at harwood park to which she replied arrh its nice there hope you have a good day !!!!! we ate our meal and left straight away , in the morning we came down to order breakfast lovely lady greeted us took our order and served us really well , however there was then a piece of nylon string in my breakfast which she tried to find out where it had come from but couldnt but was very appologetic.so maybe more training for staff would improve customers stays .

Ther was nothing special to like, It's a hotel! The hotel in general was over heated, to try and reduce the temperature in the room we opened the window, but the noise from the traffic on the a1m was intolerable, so we switched on the air conditioning which was also very noisy. We did not like the fact that the local comercial radio station was played very loudly in the restaurant during breakfast.

I stayed here during the Sonisphere music festival, which the hotel was ideally located for. Taxi's in and out were easy to get and a flat rate of £10. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The train station, shopping area and restaurants are all within 10 minutes walk.
