The recptionist was fantastic and the hotel welcoming policy was very good. The room was clean & comfortable although the tv remote control did not function. The WiFi was easily accessed. The information on the local; eateries was very informative but you must go to the Royal Oak Inn [across the road] for fantsatic food & real ale. The fitness centre, as stated in the hotel description, has to be pre-booked. |

Nice old Country House. They are trying to run this place on a tight budget. No facilitites (ie Bar or Restaurant) should be to customers as a B&B |

Good location for Cheltenham, and also local sightseeing. Breakfast times a little strict, but you could argue it lenghthened the day.No bar available at Prestbury House, or at least not open at all whilst we were there.Local pubs not that inspiring. |

The surroundings are pretty. The staff are attentive (if a little too attentive at times - they would wake me up every morning to find out why I had missed breakfast!). It was very dusty and set off allergies. I spent a lot of the time sneezing. There was no restaurant. Information given about the local services was not always helpful. |

Wow ! What a lovely place. So clean. So friendly. So professional.Great breakfast. When travelling from so far it is so nice to find a trustworthy accurate web site description and photos. Just remember for those of you from outside the UK that "Guest Accommodation" means Bed and Breakfast. But so far on this trip we have not stayed in such a luxury Bed and Breakfast standing within it's own beautiful grounds as Prestbury House. Well recommended. |

This is a fantastic place. Full of charm and history. Excellent standard of bedroom , cleaning and Breakfast. Lovely gardens and grounds with horses in. You have the best of both worlds being so close to the town centre and yet being in such wonderful open countryside as well. They even fly the Australian flag at the front door ! Wish all the places we have stayed in on this holiday had been as good as this. |

The photos are not a true representation of this hotel. In the photos it looks like there are a lot of grounds & it is very spacious which it isn'T. Was put in the coach house part which was very mediocre. Too far from town, difficult to find, very ordinary, too far from shops & restaurants & not worth the rate. Would not recommend. |

The staff, particularly Stephen, were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful. The Royal Oak over the road comes highly recommended for dinner. A brilliant, romantic stay! |

Just what it says on the wrapper ! A Country House Guest House. So good we stayed an extra night. It is not for you if you are looking for chic boutique style of accommodation. If you are looking for history , outstanding views , terrific staff, wonderful Breakfast, lovely garden and a lovely clean bedroom then this is for you. Very convenient for just about everywhere . I was in the centre of Cheltenham in less than 5 minutes by car . Definately planning a return trip in the Autumn. |

Outstanding in all respects. Our second stay here. Can really say no more. I feel though I ought to defend this Guest House because of some of the other negative reviews. We were in room 1 ( Howard ) which is fab ! Huge room. Huge Queen size bed with equally huge bathroom with large kidney shaped bath. Traditional quality furniture which suits the age of the hotel. Our friends booked separately and the only room left was in the Coach House which was again exceptional . This is advertised everywhere as a 4 star AA "Guest House" not Hotel which I think some reviewers do not understand the difference .Still at the low prices they charge this should be very obvious ! Excellent value - stay there ! |

Prestbury Village lovely location. Excellent breakfast. Coach House decor slightly dated. Lack of bar and facilities in Hotel. The local pub opposite is used as a bar. |

The staff were helpful and very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We stayed in the main house (The Howard, room 1). The decor and furniture in the room was very tired and the huge amount of space in the bathroom was poorly utilised with a corner bath that you could not lie down in. The shower attachment and curtain around the bath were totally unnecessary as there was ample room to have installed a proper shower in the bathroom. We paid extra for a 'premier' room, so if this room is considered to be 'premior', then the hotel bedrooms that are not classified as 'premier' and the cheaper coach house rooms must be very poor indeed. I am suprised that the hotel has a 4 star rating. |
