Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. the room was very comfortable and we felt very relaxed there. Beautifully decorated with lovely furnishings.

A lovely cared for historic building, nice clean comfortable room with luxurious bathroom. Some nice touches in the room to make our stay more enjoyable. Leisure club was really nice for a swim and the food there was fantastic value for money.

Finding out on arrival that the restaurant in the hotel was closes for the duration of our stay, the options presented to us was to use their sports club or a numbers of pubs in the village which detracted from the romance somewhat.

Stayed in room 1, which was fabulous. Would be 100% if it had a shower head in bath. Bath was amazing for two. Bathrobes but no slippers? Lovely luxury service and surround. Amazing spa. bday cake was very special and breakfast was fab too! Thanks v much!

Stayed only for one night. Had a late arrival but everything was done with a smile, The hotel has a very cosy atmosphere and the room was excellent! Definitely stay there again for business.

Wifi was non existant and food menu was aimed more for a upmarket meal.

Excellent staff, swimming pool, problem with shower but staff sorted promptly. Member of staff serving dinner went out of way to purchase us tooth paste we had forgotton. Outstanding service and can't wait to come back. Sally

Very comfortable room and lovely setting. Bathroom was very modern with good shower. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Evening meal was good value and very tasty.

The breakfast is a bit limited in cereal choice, with no muesli/bran/oats/nuts at all available. Cooked breakfast was good. You would also have to check before booking whether a wedding party was booked in as they make a lot of noise until quite late (based on our night's experience)!

When I arrived, had a lovely warm greeting from both people in the reception office. The lady apologised and said that due to their Internet crashing, a double room isn't available in the hotel as I'd booked. She said I could either take a twin room or an apartment at the leisure centre. I opted for the latter. The apartment was very well equipped, clean and spacious. as part of the hotel package, I had half board. The food was superb, and nothing was too much trouble. The only downside of this, is finding such an excellent hotel like this, and as I'm changing jobs soon, won't have the chance to go back again! Stayed at five lakes last time and this beats it hands down.
