Preston House B&B

Tremendous couple of days. Warm welcome accompanied by tea and cake. Rooms very comfortable, shame to leave bed. Shower, important, no hassle and works like a dream. Breakfast first class and if more needed just ask. Also a quality cup of coffee from someone well travelled and aware that some breeds can ruin your day. Finally everything exceptionally clean.

Debbie and George were delightful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Preston House has been beautifully and tastefully refurbished, the breakfasts were delicious, and the best thing was the red squirrel in the garden!!!

From afternoon tea and cake on arrival to a hearty cooked breakfast before departure, we had an excellent experience at Preston House B&B. The room we had was beautiful with a huge luxurious bed and a bathroom big enough to dance in! The owners are very welcoming and show a genuine interest in their guests. They are knowledgeable about the surrounding area and provide excellent insight into local eateries.

The sign just says Bed & Breakfast, you have to look carefully on the wall to see Preston House. This can be quite tricky on what is a difficult pull in from the road but it is well worth the effort.

We enjoyed the host' and hostess' desire to meet our needs and help us enjoy the area. They were very welcoming and anxious to please. The ambience was delightful with mature furniture and pleasing pictures, especially the wildlife works.

The welcome by our hosts. There excellent hospitality, the breakfast was all good quality produce. Just wish we could of stayed longer.The room was well furnished and the bed was superb. Highly recommended.

Great countryside location with very easy reach of both A1 and the many attractive beaches and sea side towns of the Northumberland coast. Delightful, considerate and helpful hosts. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped rooms. Great breakfasts. Safe off-road parking

We have stayed in a lot of hotels and b&bs and this was by far the best! Lovely owners. We stayed in the superior double and every attention to detail was considered. First class breakfast and service. Cannot wait to go back!

George and Debbie are amazing hosts. They looked after us very well, nothing was a problem to them. Preston Tower is across the road and has red squirrels though we didn''t see any. However a deer crossed the neighboring field in the evening and we had excellent views of it from the bedroom window. Preston House is an ideal base for bird watching at the Farne Islands.

Stayed 2 nights March 12 for a relaxing birthday celebration. Our room was just lovely, very tastefully decorated, with the most comfortable bed and the en suite was huge! Debbie and George were really welcoming and are on the right side of attentive - interested to know what you've been up to and to offer suggestions for places to visit, restaurants, etc, but at the same time they leave you to enjoy their beautiful home and your holiday in peace. We haven't previously been fans of staying in b&bs as some owners make you feel you have to leave after breakfast and not return until it's dark but Debbie and George have absolutely changed our minds - we will certainly return to Preston House in the future. Keep up the good work Debbie and George!! Thank you x

Extremely friendly hosts, really clean with an amazingly luxurious bathroom, huge bed, really nicely decorated and if that wasn't enough, a big drawing room and breakfast room with home-made stewed pears made for a lovely romantic break that exceeded our expectations.
