Preston Marriott Hotel  

Very welcoming and a pleasure to come back to after a long day out. Breakfast was brilliant and the bar area is a very pleasant space to spend an evening. The bedrooms were so comfortable and it was ideal to have the option of having 2 double beds.

I would have liked there to be a mini bar in the room and I felt that there could be a wider selection of teas (i.e. green tea) with the complimentary tea/coffee service.

Staff are fantastic, food brilliant and rooms perfect! Great stay!

Sunday breakfast was supposed to finish at 11:00 according to the book in the room, but the restaurant actually closed at 10:30 so we missed out. Most disappointing.

We enjoyed it all and have stayed here before, but the last time we stayed the hotel charged my card twice for our stay, I had a hassle of sorting it out, but the Manager said when we were to book again he would give me discount, when I booked again the staff said they had no record of this, I was a bit disappointed in this as I am considering in booking again in a few weeks but never mind.

Nothing really to say bad about it apart from comment in the like box.

Breakfast staff were excellent. Buffet range at breakfast was good. Good parking facilities. Leisure facilities were good. Checkin and out was quick. Staff at reception were very helpful with directions.

Room was a little cramped.

- 2 rooms from our group got moved after the 1st night - Saturday 30th: the lounge bar area was extremely noicy - Sunday 31st: I don't know if there had been package deals for Easter but the noise and atmosphere in the lounge / bar was unbearable... many guests where complaining but the staff where unable to calm the parents and kids who had obviously drank excessively - for a relaxing weekend in the countryside we had to retire to our rooms very early out of safety concerns of our kids and ourselves

Everything, really good hotel. Stayed in a lot of 5 stars and this one beats them all. Was reading the other reviews before going and all negative points made are not worth making, especially the one about getting lost in the car park come on use your loaf!!!

It was our first time in a Marriott Hotel. From the very first moment, we were put at ease by a very polite and helpful receptionist. The stay was comfortable, affordable and one we will recommend to others.

Accommodation

Didn't notice that no breakfast whatsoever was included. Very poor - the minimum should be continental and £15 too expensive for a full english. Won't use them again

We came as a surprise for my sister's 30th birthday (me-35,my sister-30,my other sister-28 and pregnant,and my mum) I would like to mention that not only were we all treated very well by the hotel and spa/beauty staff (we all had different treatments) but we also had the pleasure of an upgrade and a bottle of wine sent to our room on the first night. Thank you very much.

All was great but we did feel that maybe an extra recliner or two in the pool are would be even better as my sister is 24 weeks pregnant and found the normal chairs uncomfortable!

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself was very good. We liked having the spa and gym facilities available.

The water in the hotel room was piping hot but there was no warning. Luckily we avoided being burnt but I wud worry about old people and young children. The service in the gym cafe was v poor. Tables were left uncleared and there was nobody t take drinks orders. I wanted a coffee and in the end I gave up and didn't bother.

Great staff, very clean and comfortable

Wifi charges and no bottled water in room

Everything was lovely and we had a great time in the pool, hot tub and steam room. The room was really nice.

One of the hot tubs wasn't working and a few people were disappointed, the mattress kept slipping down the bed for some reason, though we did find it amusing!

The room & bed was very comfortable, staff were very friendly. We got a reduced deal rate.

The food was very poor and the gym was mainly weights (no running, rowing or cross training machines).

We were attending a wedding at Bartle hall and didnt get much time to appreciate the hotel. Room and bathroom were excellent as was the breakfast the following morning plenty of choice. The staff what we saw of them all seemed very nice. I would like to visit again and just relax for a couple of nights using the spa and eating in the restaurant i maybe treat myself to it shortly. It was easily reachable by car from where I live at Fleetwood. Excellent all round for the amount of time I was there.

The staff are remarkably well trained and attentive for a chain hotel. Their attitude is very positive.

Why do Marriott charge for Wifi? They must be losing millions in bookings because of it.

Hotel bar corresponds Not a 4 * hotel standard. Service only if requested and partially sticky tables.

Hotel Overall good to very good. Excellent cleanliness of rooms, very nice swimming pool and good breakfast.

The breakfast was nice

- We were told the pool facilities not open on 01.01.2013 but then it was open - after we did not bother to set our alarms - the room was FREEZING cold and the radiator did not work!!!

For the purpose of this visit, the location suited us. The hotel is very nice though looking a bit tired in places I.E. bathroom. It could do with a little tlc.

The breakfast is too expensive - not everyone wants to eat a full cooked breakfast and £15 for toast and coffee is over the top. They should give you an option.
