Good hotel, good facilities and good staff.
Crazy idea that the "stay two nights and get a third free" offer is not applicable if booked through a third party and not marriots own website even though its the same price! , we would have stayed again if the offer applied but not now; so loss of business! !???
I paid over £200 and my house would have been cleaner. There also isn't enough pillows on the beds and non. Avaliable in the wardrobe I just think we would have been better staying in a premier Inn it was meant to be a romantic weekend away instead we wanted to be out the hotel all the time
OK, But why rip customers off by charging for WiFi ?
Lovely and comfortable but felt that the hotel was a little tired and needed refreshing.
Whilst in the sauna it was far to hot the settings had been set wrongly.
breakfast choice + quality
pay for wifi ???
Beautiful hotel, amazing breakfast!
Not the comfiest mattress and the bathroom was a but dated.
Quality of hotel Leisure facilities Free perks that come with Marriott Club
Parking can be a bit difficult when there are business conventions at the hotel Price could be a little bit cheaper
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room was warm and comfortable with a lovely view of the gardens.
The whole experience was very good. We were there as a family group from various parts of the country and we all enjoyed ourselves. It was very quiet at night.
The car park was quite dark and the rain did not help. We had difficulties getting out of the grounds on foot with people driving in at speed. We were glad we had a torch.
Presentation at reception The quality of the bathroom accessories i.e. bath shower gel etc. nice comfortable bed with nice bed linen Good selection of coffee and tea. Use of trouser press, iron and board.
Location, building and grounds.
Key card access
Rooms had a strong scent of sleeping people, gone sour. Overpriced given location and quality. I was amazed that they charge an additional £10 for internet access. Even 1 star. B&B s offer that as standard.
Comfortable bed with several pillows of different density Plenty of towels in the bathroom Very good breakfast with items freshly cooked in front of you if required Free newspaper Friendly and helpful staff Ample free car parking on site
No wifi in bedrooms Bedroom seemed a bit tired but clean enough
Dining and bar facilities
The pillows were small and most uncomfortable resulting in neck pain.
Comfortable room and bed. Excellent food
Staff very helpful beautiful location rooms were ok breakfast was very good plenty of choice staff in the dining room were very friendly
Bathroom tiles need a good clean in the room we were in a bit expensive have have stayed in 3star hotels just as good and a lot cheaper that said it was nice fan in bathroom was very loud
The kettle in the room was dirty inside the lid . It needed a good scrub.
staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Made for an excellent and most enjoyable stay for my partner and I. Will definitely make a booking with marriott preston again.
I find it very hard finding something positive to say about my stay at the Marriott.
From reading the description of the hotel online before booking the hotel I thought my boyfriend and I were in for a treat. When we drove up the drive the hotel looked every bit the part, looking very grand. My excitement soon faded when we checked in. I felt the room was very overpriced for how small it was. I have stayed in many mainstream hotels and paid a lot less and had a much bigger room. The bed was uncomfortable and resulted in a very disruptive sleep. For the price I expected a brilliant bathroom or at least a power shower but sadly there was no power. We were made to stand in line for breakfast, which was being run by one member of staff who looked rushed off his feet, for about 20 minutes. The choice of food on offer was ok. However the egg and babacoleft a lot to be desired for. All in all I would not chose to stay at a Marriott again.
The swimming pool, comfortable room although it was a bit small, had difficulty getting round the bed for the chair under the window Very good breakfast.
We stayed on a saturday night (18/10/14) unfortunately it was a party night and on our ground floor room we could hear it But, the worst thing was the altercations that occured 3 or 4 times during the night in the car park - again right outside our room (108). Everytime it woke us both up. The following morning we were both shattered. We have stayed in Marriott hotels in the UK and abroad many times and this was the very worst night ever.
Well cared for by the staff Large spacious rooms Lovely breakfast use of leisure facilities
Lack of vegetarian selections on the menu Room a bit on the hot side Trying to find the place layout of bathrooms - could do with refurbishment £15 for 24 hours wifi in rooms - scandalous
everything was great.
bathroom bit dated.
everything about this hotel
Spa treatment was excellent; Emma was truly professional. Staff were friendly and helpful Food was great and good portion sizes. Plenty to do within the hotel and also good hotel location, easy access to many attractions.
Squashed to close together at breakfast especially for a female travelling alone - bit intimidating. Dining room smelt of stale fat at dinner time. They did not enforce any dress code in the dining/breakfast rooms. Cleaning staff were noisy.
Rooms nice, food good and pool area v nice
Nothing to be honest
