The location, the size of the room The lack of welcome, The general attitude of the staff - moral is obviously very low. The management treat the staff as 3rd rate citizens. The standard of fixture and fittings throughout was very old fashioned, worn out and in need of renovation. Attention to detail was zilch, ashtrays not emptied, door handles dirty, curtains coming off rails etc. We had the Honeymoon suite - the bed was a 4'6" four poster that was in a very sad condition with a very hard matrress . There was no TV signal in the room and because it was a weekend, they were unable to fix it - it just happened to be Man Utd Vs Chelsea match that we both wanted to watch! The smoking area downstairs was outside our bedroom window so the room contstantly smelt of cigarettes. The bathroom plumbing was powered by electric pumps and macerators so everytime you washed your hands or flushed the loo it sounded as if Concord was taking off! I made the bad decision to invite two sisters for a meal in the restaurant the first evening. Needless to say most of the food went back to the kitchen. All in all not a good place to stay especially as we booked for two nights and paid £250 for the pleasure!

- Thew room were clean and the hotel staff was friendly. - Location is quite remote. - The heating in the rooms (I had 2 different rooms) is too small for cold weather. Otehr colleagues that stayed before there had the same experience.

Great location, nice grounds, helpful staff I stayed in room 12, bathroom would benefit from a shelf and window frames need a lick of paint.

Clean, friendly staff. The room was a little tired. The caropets had seen better days as had the overall decor. However gien the limited reasonably priced hotels in the area it was ok for the overnight stay

Friendliness of reception staff, the size, comfort & facilities of the bedroom. Menu was good and well cooked & presented. We were there on evening of 14th February when there was a special Valentines day dinner in the restaurant. As we didn't want this menu we were put in a room used by a course running at the hotel where our enjoyment of the food was totally spoilt by loud-mouthed course members, particularly one drunken American!

Clean and comfortable rooms. Quiet location with attractive grounds. Efficient and polite staff. Ample parking. Well chosen evening menu, very well cooked. Good breakfast, politely and efficiently served. We very much enjoyed every meal, but one must be prepared to wait while each dish is cooked. Allow at least an hour for two courses.

It is near my son's house and therefore very convenient. The Hotel is well run and comfortable, the food is very good and the price is reasonable. I have used ith three times and hope to use it again. A minor matter but the room was not very warm and the towel rack heater was not working. It was however the day after New Years Day and the weather was exceptionally severe.

It was comfortable and clean bedroom was adequate bathroom and shower good. Hotel has an oldy worldy feel will stay again i'm sure. No cups on breakfast table, had to ask for butter and milk also none on the table, small things but important and you feel awkward knocking on the kitchen door to attract staffs attention

Efficient check-in. - Good system fo those mneeding to leave early - ie. Check out the night before. Good service in Bars and restaurant Fact that notice previous eveneing stated reception no open until 7am - yet receptioin still not open when I left at 7:25am - with several anxious guess waiting to check out! Lobby, Hall, Bar are in total darkness at 7am - had to 'feel' way to restaurant for breakast

Quiet location, lovely grounds although our room overlooked the car park at the rear of the hotel. Very nice lounge and dining room. We had dinner on one night with family members who lived locally and even though we only had main courses we waited almost an hour after ordering for our meals to be served.
