Staff were super friendly. Bed was very comfortable! Room was dated and a little scruffy but all cosmetic. As there were big gaps round the door it meant the room was quite cold and drafty. I read about the plug sockets in another review and dismissed it. However, there was only 1 we could really use near the bed.

All of the staff were great, the rooms were comfortable and great value for money. All in all, this led to a very welcoming atmosphere. We loved it! Also, we booked a double room and got an extra single bed, for free!

The staff and breakfast was very good. The price for a solo traveller was a bit much. £70 for one person against £75 for 3 people in the room next door to me. We all had breakfast so I think a reduction of more than £5 would have been fairer.

Friendly, obliging service. -Took care to accommodate our needs. Chalet rooms spacious and quietly located at the back of the hotel. The twin room beds (double and a single) gave the flexibility of using the room as a double or a twin. Relaxed, comfortable stay. Excellent room for its star rating.

It was open Christmas Eve when we needed somewhere to stay while visitng family. It has some annexe rooms that are easy to access with lots of luggage. Easy parking, unlike other places in Yeovil. Nice staff. Heating radiators were on a central timer, so room was very cold in the afternoon (December visit).

Good location for Yeovil town. Nice touches of tea/coffee and shower gel/shampoo etc. Nice to have a bar to have a drink on site but spoilt by some of the other customers' behaviour. Would recommend with reservations. The downstairs lounge bar was frequented by a group of men who although pleasant to us, used alot of colourful language that I would rather not have had to listen to at 6pm having a coffee! Quilts were not very warm and pillows were very flat! One room was so small it was more like a single with a double bed squeezed in. Dowdy feel about the room.

The cleaneness, The decor, The location, 10 minute walk from Yeovil Town Centre & the staff were very kind & helpful. I have to give one person a mention........Lucy, she was really the only one there due to a staff shortage & she catered for our every need, she also had a sense of humour which always goes down well, thanks Lucy!! The Grosch was off !!

Comfortable beds Bathroom had missing tiles and the shower was cracked. Mould on bathroom ceiling. For the price the bedroom was clean and comfortable but the bathroom meant the stay was not good value for money

It is an excellant hotel with friendly staff. The continental breakfast is very good - especially the croissants! The rooms are comfortable with everything we need. We stay there because it near the home of our son and his family.

This hotel had just changed hands in the last six weeks, there seemed to be quite a bit of work going on, all to the good. The main part of the hotel looked to have been freshly decorated. We stayed in one of the rooms seperated from the main building, beds, bedding and towels all very lovely.shower was very good. We had a meal on one night of our stay, very good, well presented. Would have no hesitation in returning. The price was for bed an continental breakfast, not the continental you get on the continent, to have a full english was an extra £6.50 per person.

Matthew the manager was very accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasant and efficient young man. Next time will ask for a room on the first floor.too many stairs but was offered a change but not worth the hassle in changing on the last but one day of leaving

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel as the room was in an annexe across the car park it was very basic cold and not as clean as I would have liked. The only window looked onto the car park at ground level, and with cars and people coming and going this was not the quiet room we had hoped for .Although we were asked not to smoke in the room ash cans were placed outside the entry door very close to the room which encouraged people to hang around smoking.I Would not stay here again .

The Kings Arms Inn
The Kings Arms is an 18th Century Inn located in the picturesque village of Montacute close to the stately home Montacute House, used for filming 'Sense and Sensibility.
Very good, 8.4
Score from 96 reviews
“The setting in charming Montacute was exactly what we were looking for. The inn has a sense of history and at the same time concern for contemporary traveler's needs. Our dinner was excellent and the traditional English Breakfast was updated just enough. I also enjoyed exploring the churchyard next door and hiking St Michael's Hill.” Nancy, Freeland |
