not a problem
Location, friendly staff and good food.
Room was comfortable
One heater couldn't turn down and very hot . Breakfast below average .. cardboard box cereal , no fruit or yogurt , poorest quality white bread and toaster needs replacing . Cooked breakfast choice of fried or scrambled eggs no poached .. Not very welcoming .
Excellent Staff: - Met after hours to gain access to room due to late arrival. - Dining and pub area was great! Good to see the Rolling Stones and Beetles memorabilia - Great food
Room temperature could have been slightly warmer.
Everything about this hotel was great. The staff were friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was cooked fresh for us.
There was nothing i did not like. I ciuldnt reccomend this hotel enough.
Nothing bad to say about this place, manager was a great host, room was great, location good. Would go out of my way to stay again.
Only one minor quibble in that my breakfast plate was erroneously removed before I had finished. A pure misunderstanding I'm sure.
We were in the area to attend a wedding so just required somewhere clean and convenient to spend a couple of nights. The room was a good size, clean, and had everything required for a pleasant stay. Breakfasts were good and generally the hotel is great value for money. Friendly staff. Nice music themed bar/restaurant areas.
The location isn't great - in a bit of a no mans land on the outskirts of Yeovil. But only a 15 min walk to the town centre and shops etc. The hotel itself feels almost half-refurbed, with some modern amenities and decoration but also some older, slightly more faded areas. But you get what you pay for and at this price, there can be no complaints.
close to family reunion premises
front door locked at 3pm - took time to find back door.!
I liked everything! The room was spacious, clean and uncluttered, while lacking nothing. Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious...great flavours, hot, and a good size. Our host, while busy, always had time for us and was warm, welcoming and efficient. Great décor with a musical theme, tasteful and captivating.
Having to leave - it felt like a haven.
All facilities in room good, excellent cleanliness and great food and drink in the bar. Wide range of choice of food and drink at breakfast
As it was located on a main road the constant traffic meant that sleeping wasn't easy
The staff and management were friendly and helpful. Evening meal and real ale at the bar was good. A good nights sleep and reasonable prices.
The food was very good and the attention of the staff was excellent.
We asked if our Son in Law and family could join us for breakfast .The owner said yes .They were very accomadating
Nothing .On this occasion the staff and owner were excellent ,and I would book this hotel again if needed thanks john
My friend and I stayed at the Preston as we had a wedding to go to. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and let us into out room several hours before check in so that we were able to get ready. The main area was small but cosy and the interior was fun and unique for any music lover. Would recommend to anyone.
Unfortunately the shower stopped working and I was unable to have a shower after my friend.
Friendly welcome but ultimately disappointing
Noisy small room at front, open the window to ventilate and the noise from the road/people outside was bad. Chose because of "real ale" none on offer (too quiet to sell enough was the reason) fridge broken so no cold beer...Food was amateurish at best and advised last orders was 1/2 hour before stated in room info, (8.30 is a bit early) bathroom was modern but smelled badly. Felt like they were not really committed to running a full service hotel more like a B&B owner who had lost interest-sorry to say and at £55 that's not good enough.
Good sized room Location to Yeovil Price at £55 Good staff
Noisy water pipes/pumps woke me up Breakfast range a bit limited to a few cereals and a toaster and small cooked (no fruit, no omelette option, no mushrooms)
It was clean and tidy just enough for a day or two stay. The food was good.
It does need a revamp in places like bathroom.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We contacted them after a week following our stay to ask about an item we had lost to ask if we had left it behind. They located it and then posted it to us straight away, which we really appreciated.
The staff were very. Even replaced a bulb for a bedside lamp even tho it still didn't work. Wasn't an issue because it was just a short stay. Breakfast was lovely. My son & I loved the music themed room.
We were in a quiet area or the back behind the hotel which we were more than happy with. But it was rather unpleasant for both my son and I to be woken up during the night with the smell of someone smoking outside our front door which would have also been outside theirs too. Perhaps a smoking area away from the doors should be provided.
