The B and B itself was very nice as was the lady who runs it.
I did not like Gretna at all. very commercial. I found the bed very hard
Carolyn was great, she made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Very clean & cosy room. Great breakfast
shower needed more pressure as it had a slow/light but steady flow rate, also very sensitive valve - not much variance between very hot & cool.
We arrived in Gretna for our wedding and had a one night stay at Prince Charlie's before heading for our wedding venue. Our stay was comfortable and Carolyn, owner B&B, gave us a very warm welcome. The B&B is central to everything in Gretna and is very quaint. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice.
We were delayed on our journey up from Bournemouth and instead of arriving at 10.00pm as arranged we knew we could not get there before midnight so rang the owner who offered to leave the front door key out for us so we could let ourselves in which we did at 12.30am, received a warm welcome the next am.
There was absolutely nothing to displease us, we plan to stay there whenever we journey up home to the Highlands.
Nothing to comment
Secure place to leave bicycle. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent room and facilities. first class breakfast and service.
location and staff very friendly.plenty of parking and very pretty and tidy
Everything. Carolyn is really lovely. Very warm welcome and great breakfast.
Ideally placed to wonder to the 'Famous' blacksmiths' or to the modern outlet centre. Anne is a lovely host and a joy to chat with. Bedroom clean and comfortable. Will certainly stay again on our next visit.
It was a quiet and felt very private as a small cottage stay.good hospitality and warm welcome, great breakfast.
A most helpful and friendly owner and very comfortabIe B&B.
Road a little noisy.
Host extremely friendly and helpful , a lovely place to rest and relax ( especially if you enjoy a hearty breakfast ! ! )
stayed overnight to attend a friends wedding. location perfect for the reception.
Our warm welcome in spite of being late, the convenience of our room with direct access to the outside, a very good breakfast, flexibility in relations with the guests and their needs, and kindness in keeping things left behind for collection during our return trip.
Nothing not to like.
The welcome comfort & Gretna its self what more can I say
They were very clean, the lady who ran them couldn't do enough for us & the breakfast was excellent
Good breakfast, friendly owner
The room was a little small
Everything! Carolyn was very warm and friuendly and made me feel most welcome. The room was the cleanest room that I have EVER been in. It was like CSI had been in there!! Very comfortable double bed with pristine bed linen. Lovely en suite bathroom with loo and shower, All gleaming. Lovely hot water. Coffee making facilities. Use of an iron and a hair dryer which I didn't need to use. I was Maid of Honour at a friends wedding, and where the couple was staying was a short walk up a small hill. Even the weather was perfect. Good choice of breakfast each morning, choice of cereal, cooked breakfasts, fruit juice, tea and coffee and toast. All very good, served in a cosy dining room wth immaculate crockery and cutlery. Common areas for guests were spotlesslessly clean and cosy and comfortable. Excellent value for money Thank you so much Carolyn for making my 2 night stay absolute perfection
That stupid me forgot to sign the Visitors Book!!! I had been meaning to then of course on the morning you leave, your head is full of going home and it went out of my head. Sorry

We liked the everything about the Cottage. Staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast.
central location, comfy bed, excellent breakfast. There is no substitute for good local knowledge, excellent base and shame we only stayed one night as heading further North.
Clean and fresh rooms and bathrooms. Lovely luxurious rooms. Very friendly hostess she was ready to greet us with a smile even though we arrived late. Breakfast ready on time Quiet location and great stopover point if travelling to Scotland. Will stay here again.
We couldn't access the wifi and as it was late didn't want to disturb her.it might help to have details in the room.
Friendliness of owners without being intrusive.
Needed more shelving in bathroom for toiletries
