With a modern recreation center and 2 traditional restaurants, Scarisbrick Hotel also features a cocktail lounge and real ale bar. The hotel is in Southport center, just off of Lord Street Boulevards....

Size of room
Paying to park in there car park
Staff Friendly & Helpfull Clean Comfortable Hotel
Great location and beautiful hotel and fab staff
The breakfast was good and also good quality meats
We didn't like the Executive room. There was no view, on a -1 level which was below the car park level. We asked to be changed to another level but was told nothing else was available, yet later when excess people came from the scarisbrick hotel they where given better rooms. All in all not sure why the level of rooms on the -1 level are classed as executive. It can't be because of a bath ?? Sorry to say will not be staying there again.
Rooms a little tired
Nothing - even glass of wine from bar was off - probably been open for weeks.
Buffet dinner - was left over from coach party who had eaten 2 hrs earlier. Inferior menu and badly cooked slop. Had audacity to charge £10 per head. Also, coach party guests standing at front door entrance smoking. Not just one but lots. The bad points are too numerous to mention. I wasted £45 by staying there and would not use your recommends again.
comfortable bed easily controlled radiator thick curtains to obscure the light
could only partially open the room window. understand the H & S reason for this but should be able to open more than was able. Staff very busy at breakfast so coffee was delayed, consider getting a coffee machine.
value for money, it was basic but clean but only paid £45
poor décor, corridors desperate for a lick of paint. bedroom next to creaky stairs,
The central location and the fact it has parking faclitites.
The three times I stayed over a four week period the internet never worked, the staff said it was due to the amount of people using it, but as I pointed out to the receptionist, considering the majority of people were pensioners I can't see what they were doing 3.00 am in the morning, when I was trying to log in to get work done that I had had to postpone.
Loved are whole stay ! Thanks :)
Staff were excellent: friendly and helpful. Location is brilliant.
Breakfast was poor. I only had toast and coffee, the toast was leathery and the coffee was weak and tasteless. Could not lock my window (on ground floor).
room okay, down stairs lovely entrance as you went upstairs the decor dropped drastickly,
breakfast plates were cold and eggs were cold otherwise it was really good
We sneaked a look at the fabulous ballroom. To be preserved at all costs!
I think you struggle to keep this building clean and maintained properly. Main lift out of action for the whole of our stay and we had to cram into staff lift.
Art Deco hotel Very friendly and welcoming staff Free car park on site (despite it saying there was a small charge) Good value food and drinks available
Bathroom needed looking at - hole in ceiling with mould Shower needed re-fixing to wall Lack of pillows and towels No wifi
Easy access room for wheelchair lovely friendly staff !!
Room had no window and felt souless
The hotel retains the charm of a hotel from a past era. Beautiful decor in public areas.
Having stayed at this hotel before I was very disappointed with the evening meals on offer. breakfast choice was fine. My advice just book bed and breakfast. Brittannia hotels' food has become more like a holiday camps food.
Being on Lord street The hotel is nicely situated in the areas i spend most of my time when in Southport, having stayed a number of times and being upgraded more than once i see no reason to stay anywhere else.
Sometimes being unable to get to the hotel until late in afternoon its a struggle to park, this is the one thing that takes the edge of an otherwise pleasant experience
The food The lack of parking spaces The lack of atmosphere
Excellent Staff Good Location
Felt the room reasonable for the price- though disappointed. Old and drab but appeared clean in room . We did purchase a coffee and tea cake served in the entrance area, by a sweet waitress on our final morning. We only dealt with two staff- one to book in and one out. They both pleasant
No window to look out of -hated that. Not sure if window would open-looked dodgy when tried. Came for a break and relax, but wasn't comfortable with the room . Very sparing with tea bags and milk. bar packed, reception packed, caters for party bookings. Queue for evening meal and area packed so gave up. Shabby long corrider and creaking boards to the room. Was concerned. We left midday the day before due to book out.
second time i have stayed here this year very good value for money room very clean warm and comftorble
even though bathroom window was frosted glass i think a blind or curtain would be a good idea
