Score from 1301 reviews Very good
The excellent reception we received and the cleanliness and comfort of our sea view room. Far above average food and due to the nature of our visit as our daughter and her 3 month premature baby were in the Royal Sussex baby unit the concern shown by the staff at all stages of our visit.
There was very honestly nothing to complain about. The hotel was in pristine condition both inside and out.
Being able to park easily. Very comfortable hotel.
The location was perfect for us as we were attending a party 5 mins walk away.
The decor could do with updating. We chose the hotel for its location. However it needs refurbishing to keep up with competitors such as Premier Inn, Travelodge especially given the price we paid! The waiting staff in the breakfast room were very keen to clear away before we had finished. Parking is very limited and very tight car park. However there is metered car parking across the road.
Staff were so helpful. When we went to breakfast we were shown a big table as we had a young baby. Staff couldn't of been more helpful. When we arrived a member of staff asked if we had a travel cot which we did and then asked me if we needed sheets. Agan couldn't of been more helpful.
Baby changing table by reception wasn't the cleanest. Maybe because not used all the time doesn't get washed as much.
Price and good breakfast
A hotel that had a nice room with fully opening windows and fresh sea air and views. Room was bigger than expected and everything worked and was basically clean. Staff were helpful and nice. Free parking is a nice bonus.
The non-smoking room smelt of old stale fags and socks, and a simple carpet shampoo throughout would have eliminated it. The bar prices were far too high. Reception area needs modernising soon.
Refurbished rooms and bathrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful Parking is tight but have always managed to get a space.
Decided not to have the breakfast after my last visit. Price being the decider. Recommending anyone books a rear facing room owing to 24/7 traffic along seafront.
Quiet hotel but within easy reach of Brighton. Lovely walks along the seafront
Booked as going to a concert at the bic, surprised by price £59 per double room on a fri night ! Therefore was expecting to either be out of the way or a dive ! It was neither £7 taxi ride to centre and clean friendly hotel will stay again,
Very noisy bed, pillows too hard and mattress very soft. Rear car park access very narrow
speed of check in and check out
room next to lift heard it going through the day Staff using the front of the hotel car parking spaces
Cleanliness Tidiness Breakfast Good parking near by
Car park too small
location ,comfort and price
Staff very helpful and accommodating. Room spacious and comfortable
Room 33 on the 3rd floor had a coffee table beneath a large window that opened with a sheer drop beneath.
It was clean, quiet and food available on the premises which was good value for money
Dip in the bed and be there early for a car parking place.
Location, free car park, efficient friendly staff, good value food and drink, comfortable bed and cracking sea view
Fairly nondescript decor, room hot and stuffy on arrival, (turned off radiator and opened window)
We particularly loved the view from our room as it was a seaview. Also we were glad that there were no unnecessary drapings around the window so you could enjoy the view.
There was some confusion over paying for the breakfast. Different price if you paid the night before. Cost more if you paid in the morning.Surely it should be one set price regardless.
A lovely comfortable room with a beautiful view across the English channel. Friendly and welcoming staff. Lift facilities. Dining experiences.
Unfriendly staff member in bar. Poor shower strength. The persistent blockage of the road at the hotel entrance. A huge irritation when you have heavy luggage during drop off and pick up especially in disgusting weather conditions. This should be kept as a throughway.
I liked the price and the location. If you get a room at the front you get great sea views.
My room was next to the lift shaft on the first floor which was quite noisy and in use all night so I didn't sleep very well.
Good breakfasts, Bus stop right outside hotel with frequent services into Brighton. Free car parking
Upgrade to a sea view room
Good sized rooms that were clean, all towels and sheets felt crisply laundered. Location central foe meetings and decent breakfast.
Not all choices on the evening menu were available.
Room was too warm, even with rads off - due to heating pipes running through room being uninsulated. Wi-Fi said no password was required - on attempting to connect I needed a password that was not given in the Room Data sheet.
i liked everything from the moment we arrived till we checked out the staff the food the prices and the room wonderful will go back again and recommend it to my friends
the weather and the hotel could not change that for me
Room held with card. When we came to pay in cash money had already been taken on card.
