Staff helpfulness - I booked it as my daughter was coming back via London and the trains were a mess, so I decided to get a room in London. The front desk helped me get taxis, kept asking if I needed anything, and were very welcoming when I did finally get my daughter back - a 3am. Room cleanliness was above average for a budget hotel. Free wifi had good bandwidth.
My twin bed room was rather cramped but that is to be expected in what is a budget hotel - so not a problem
reception staff good. Provided iron and ironing board promptly
Price was not cheap
Overall ; a very good place to stay, staff very helpful and would like to visit again.
Location near to Hyde Park Clean Free wifi that actually works
Noisy area - bins emptied at 6 am every day, a lot of activity in the street at night. Old windows (in keeping with building) don't block out any noise. Breakfast staff were a bit 'over-attentive', watching us all the time to make sure we finished on time.
staff are very helpful. Rooms clean
rooms are compact
Clean hotel and great location helpful staff.
rooms too small. En suite tiny. no view.
Proximity to road
Close to Hyde park, Kensington palace plenty of pubs and eateries and not too busy
Room a bit small and struggled in the shower
Located in quiet area, very clean. in walking distance of all amenities including under ground tube station which is paramount to getting around London.
Comfortable beds, short proximity to Notting hill, the possibility to leave luggage.
Shared iron, no refrigaretor, dirty windows, old dirty bathroom, dirty carpet.
Location Cleanliness Good size room
Wifi was free and strong once it did connect. Sometimes it would take up to 30 minutes to connect.
The location was good for our trip to see the Notting Hill Carnival. Room was on the ground floor. We did not like the first room but it was fairly straightforward to switch rooms.
The hotel does not appear to be a 4 star classification. It looks more like a 3 star at its best. Cleaning staff just open your door and shout "Housekeeping" which is what you would not expect in a 4 star hotel and is considered completely unacceptable. There is no room service. There is no restaurant. There is no bar in the hotel. There is no mini bar in the room. There is no parking. It is again something you would not expect in a hotel that is 4 star. The rooms are very small and the bathroom is a very cramped space. We asked for 3 singles in a triple room but were given a double bed and a single bed and there was barely any space for 3 people to move about the room once the luggage was placed. There is a very small TV attached to the wall at an angle that only 2 out of 3 people can watch at any given time when the beds are occupied. The bathroom is just a shower and sink with a minimum selection of toiletries. This is a hotel that is profiteering from their location and apart from that there is no other incentive to stay here. Very bad and definitely not a 4 star hotel.
Nice comfortable hotel. Great location. reasonably priced
Wifi was impossible to use.
Room Bed Location ten minutes walk to the Carnival
Check out at 11 on the bank holiday Monday
Location was great
Shower was not able to be stood up in. Ceiling was slanted & made showering difficult. Some of the desk staff were not helpful
Everything we needed for a 3 night stay, a lift, comfy bed, good shower, tv and wifi.
Creaking floorboards from room above!
Convenient Location Coffee in the breakfast room was o.k.
The Full English Breakfast Because:- ~ Luke warm / Presumably not cooked to order. ~ No Choice offered - Just got what was delivered. ~ Proportions small - No Toast offered. ~ Quality was very average ~ Charged £8 extra for the above
Location Room was changed upon my request
Restaurant very small and breakfast is expensive
We liked the location, near to tube, great restaurants nearby, independents & chains, nice pubs, area felt really safe. Shops nearby for things you'd forgotten/ gifts/ clothes/ cinema. We always came back for evening meal in the area. Would stay again!
Breakfast! Lukewarm 'hot'breakfast & water for tea not hot enough.
I didn't like the constant buzzing noise from the electricity sub-station directly outside my window!
Room was very small. It would have been better if they reduced the amount of furniture so you could move better
very thin walls made of plasterboard between rooms
Buzz of sub station outside Grubby bathroom although main items clean.
