Priory InnLondon Road, GL8 8JJ Tetbury (Show map) Very good, Score from 111 reviews“The staff was courteous and very attentive, especially the front desk staff, Emma and Maria who helped me with a near disaster situation--the loss of my luggage containing passports, etc. They also arranged a stay at another hotel for me as they had no vacancies when I decided to extend my stay in Tetbury. They deserve very high marks for their service.”

Rooms were lovely, the clean contemporary decor was most relaxing. Beds were really comfortable and the shower was quite simply the best hotel shower I can remember. And the towels!! Fluffy and soft and actually large enough to wrap around your body. Bliss! We ate in the restaurant and found the musical entertainment created a great ambience. Dinner and breakfast both tasty and plentiful. But the best thing about the Priory was the friendly and helpful staff who without fail went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Excellent place to stay whilst visiting the Cotswolds. Tetbury has lots of antique shops to browse, the high street was full of flower planters and they were in full bloom very picturesque. The hotel restaurant was amazing all the food being locally sourced. Would definitely stay in the Priory Inn again.

We really enjoyed our stay here - very warm welcome on arrival even though we were well before the stated checkin time. Had a superb dinner in the restaurant with very efficient cheerful service although they were extremely busy with pre-Christmas parties. Lovely breakfast too. Room was comfortable and toasty warm on a very cold day.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful . The hotel was clean and warm and the log fire was great (it was December and the Christmas decorations just added to the ambiance) We liked the 30 mile radius of fresh food, meat etc,and the beetroot from Highgrove was excellent. Being able to stroll around Tetbury from the Hotel and visit the many antique shops was a joy. (no worries about parking!) We plan to return in the spring.

Worth staying just for the great attached restaurant Quite pricey room rate as they are pretty basic and a little bare really and the bathroom very tiny, but with lovely towels. Quilts on beds a little stained, not the cover but it came off slightly and I spotted the nasty stains around the edge. They should have another cover on before the top duvet cover.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant did a good variety of specialty pizzas and most of their food came from within a 30 mile radius. The towels were thick and the toiletries and biscuit in the room were all local. The room was smaller than we expected for the money and the bathroom was very cramped.

Service: outstasndingly good. Bedroom conmfortable, quiet, bathroom, very clean, small; restaurant good but one or two flaws - these were noted and action taken by owner. The only sitting room needs to be improved but rest of Priory has very obviously been updated so perhaps staged work. Information on history of PI would be welcome, art work on walls should be improved! Overall an extremely pleasant stay although I would aim for a mid week break next time.

Good buzz in the Bar/Restaurant and nice food. Friendly staff and efficient check in/out at reception. Central to Tetbury town centre. The room was clean and comfortable. Sound insulation could have been better. The shower produced only tepid water and I couldn't see any way of adjusting this to make it hotter. The tv did not work and although I spoke to the reception before going to dinner who said they would fix the problem, it still didn't work when I returned to my room later. With no explanation as to whether the fault was unrepairable or if anyone had tried. Walked to Tesco and purchased a dvd
