A little shabby-chique ... quite charming
Comfortable and warm hotel, friendly and attentive service from Anna, value for money rate
Perhaps a larger breakfast room, but a hotel i would be happy to recommend and return to.
Only stayed for 1 night before moving onwards and upon first entering the room itself which is situated right at the front we were greated by a huge widow. Much to our delight we could not hear any traffic outside, and enjoyed a great nights sleep on a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was continental, a great start to a long day ahead. Cereals were also available, with plenty of orange and apple juice. The owners were very welcoming, and couldn't do enough. Will certainly stay again next time we are in the area.
There was nothing to complain about. Very friendly host & hostess. Very friendly greeting. To be honest! It satisfied my needs without any bother. Other people have left negative reviews. My answer is don't expect the Ritz if you are paying for budget accommodation! I have nothing but praise for this establishment.
Nothing to dislike!
first the cost for b/b next so near to airport and half the cost of all other hotels staff great food loads of it and very good. this hotel is a jem
I booked this for my mother and my cousin for an overnight stay before flying out of Manchester. Mum rang me the following morning and asked me to give this positive review. It was comfortable, clean, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for Anna. Taxi fare to airport £10. Would definitely stay again
Old tired dusty rooms No room changeover if staying for >1 nights!!
Staff very welcoming and eager to please. Made me feel so welcome. I shall certainly use this Hotel again and recommend it to others
I stayed here in december the evening before my wedding. The family room was handy as i could get myself, two best men and an usher in the family room. The lady running the hotel could not do enough for us and was very friendly and helpful. The beat part was that my usher had travelled from australia to be at the wedding and arrived at manchester airport at 7am. After going for a quick breakfast, we were able to get an early check in at the hotel at 8am which was a huge saviour to us. Full breakfast and a wakeup call the next morning was just what the doctor ordered. This hotel will be great for anybody needing links for the south manchester area, but perhaps not so if you're wanting a night out in the city centre. I have no issues recommending this hotel to anybody and the value for money is good too.
Might not be ideal if you want to go into the city centre.
It was ideal for the airport for us to get an early flight the following morning
We arrived at 9pm and when asked if we could get anything to eat we were advised to go to Tesco express. Gutter was dripping badly outside the bedroom window which kept us awake and the room was quite pokey. Early wake up calls are offered in their booklet but when we said we had to be up at 5a.m. We were asked to pay there and then and to leave the key on the table as they would be asleep. Not very hospitable at all
Very good value for money, staff very helpful , excellent breakfast, have booked to stay again
Maybe a little warm in the room
I decided to take a trip to picadilly for some shopping, took 1 hour on local bus which wasn't too bad. Getting back to the hotel however, after 5pm the local bus did not stop next to the hotel so I advise to plan ahead of time if you decide to do the same.
I arrived very late (almost 11pm) but I still received an excellent welcome. I stayed one night before an early flight to France and I can only say that everything was perfect and excellent value for money.
Nothing to criticise.
Cosy very friendly staff good location for the airport
Very welcoming and helpful. Though an older hotel it was a pleasant stay ideal for our purpose. They did say that they were also about to renovate the rooms, if so would be excellent.
The staff were wonderful, warm, welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble within the facilities they had.
We were travelling with a 7 month old baby and there were absolutely no facilities available. Whilst we had taken a travel cot, we had hoped there would be a high chair available at breakfast time.
The hotel was close to the airport with off road parking The hotel offers only breakfast and you need to drive to get to any pubs or supermarkets The hotel changed my booking to a cheaper rate at short notice
You need a car to get to it and it is more like a guest house
owners very welcoming and helpful
The couple running hotel only had been there 9 weeks still finding thier footing but we're really welcoming and helpfull .
Very friendly staff
Closeness to airport Shower was good but diffivcult to control Well priced Generally helpful managers
Family room was small with no room for baggage Male manager was a bit over attentive. He didn't know when to leave us alone despite several hints. TV did not work at all You need to drive to get food or drink. Nothing near by.
Friendly staff and great location
No hot water, rooms were damp, rooms require updating.
Location to airport. Friendly staff.
Room facilities were very basic. There was a half drunk bottle of pepsi left behind the TV.
Friendly staff - well the only one we met was Anna.
They offer the use of hairdryer but they only have one hairdryer for 9 rooms. I got the hairdryer for the morning as we were leaving on an early morning flight but a guy come up to our room knocking the door and saying that another guest needed the hairdryer for 6.45 - he looked really scary kind of like someone out of the Adams family!!!
Anna was very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. She obviously works very hard but could do with a helping hand. The beds were clean with crisp white sheets and plenty of towels. Breakfast...we went for continental but the full breakfast looked substantial.
This hotel could be stunning...perfect style and period for shabby shique but needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it up to the standard most travellers would expect. Great location but tired and in need of a full overhaul. The owners need to invest in this hotel to maximise on its potential. Some potted plants and a screen to hide the bins wouldn't go amiss.
