Modern Spacious Quiet for city centre Bar and restaurants across the road Easy Parking Value for money Great View
Plenty of space for a family of four. Good location for Edinburgh. Within comfortable walking distance of the Royal Mile with lots of good bars and restaurants nearby. The grocery store and Starbucks downstairs are a plus as well.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. The shower was very difficult to get in and out of. There were no cleaning supplies whatsoever in the apartment. No dishwasher soap, no sponges, no dishtowels. There was no toilet paper either. Very disappointed in this.
No tea towels Shower very poor Parking is way too expensive! £48 for Friday night to Monday morning! Location of building 31 very hard to find as building is not labelled on tbe street side.
Good location within walking distance of everything. Safe.Supermarket and coffee shop down below. Easy but secure access. Good kitchen, bathroom and lounge. Plenty of linen.
Difficult to find. No toilet paper or any basics. Sofa bed not functional for sleeping an adult. Noise in morning From trucks very loud. Self closing doors were annoying.
Great location, Sainsbury's downstairs, fully opening windows to let air in. Generally fairly clean and bed OK, hence recommendation when at usual rates.
Arrived to a complete lack of toilet paper, bin bags, cleaning products, kitchen paper or tea towels so had to go out and buy. Not even a token few tea bags/coffee sachets to get us started (ditto toiletries and coathangers so couldn't even unpack as there was no drawer space); this is not the norm in any serviced apartment we've ever stayed at before. Bought pizzas to find the oven didn't work, plus terrible smell from sink drain (and no plug), intercom completely dead and only given one key, so difficult to go out separately if one person returning late as couldn't go to bed - had to stay up and dressed to go downstairs and open the door. Generally a series of low level irritations which we could have done without when trying to relax. Not dreadful, but paid an inflated rate because of the festival and not happy.
location good self catering good value for money
lack of central reception area
Excellent location and nicely laid out apartment.
Woken at 8 in the morning by delivery trucks to store underneath
Everyone loved the apartment. It was modern, spacious & comfortable. Beautiful setting overlooking the park.
The wifi is really bad, constantly disconnected.
Friendly staff, modern apartment nice location
Fold out couch was broken, one person had to sleep on floor. Tap was also broken when we arrived. And the fridge would not shut close properly meaning all our food bought was wasted.
the apartment was just awesome
- wifi did not work - no way to contact the staff out of office hours
the location, the staff
poor conditions of the bathroom, dust and hairs behind the microwave and under the TV bench.
Nice spacious apartment
Parking is extremely expensive. Place is difficult to locate. Asked many people & no one knows where is block 31. There should be some map or instructions
Apartment was spacious and handy location for everything.
The apartment is right next to a sainsburys local the got a delivery at 7am every morning and were loud, banging crates etc until 10am
Large amount of space. Comfortable, private, nice location right by university.
No wifi that we could see.
The flat we rented was on Simpson Loan. The location is convenient, the surrounding area was really nice. The flat is clean, new and fully-furnished.
It is a bit trickly if you check in on a Sunday like we did. All the necesary information is sent beforehand by mail but if you can't figure out something, you don't have anyone to help you.
Nothing that could be classed as good is relevant compared to how much was terrible.
No hot water No light bulb in bedroom lamp Broken coffee table It took us 2 hours to gain access to the apartment. The key pick up arrangement did not work. Emergency numbers were not answered. Eventually managed to make contact but were then misdirected so tramped up and down the hills of Edinburgh several times trailing heavy suitcases behind us. We lost our money for tickets that we had for 5pm as we were still not in. The staff we spoke to promised this and other out of pocket expenses would be reimbursed. It has not been and now they will not answer our calls. Probably the worst service we have ever received. Avoid staying here at all costs.
The apartment was very modern and well presented but the cleanliness of it let it down.
The apartment hadn't been cleaned, the bins were still full, stail rice in the rice cooker, dirty work top, dead flowers in a vase, mountain of cigarette ends on the decking. The worst of all was the mouse droppings behind the TV an in the TV cabinet. There's issues where addressed to destiny Scotland which they assured me they would sort as the property it's self is stunning but the cleanliness let it down and spoilt our stay.
We loved the apartment. It was very stylish and comfortable. Mattresses on beds were great (pillows were a little too soft). Location was fantastic and we wished we had of booked for a longer stay!
We didnt like the fact that we got a parking fine and our car was towed away after parking for one night! Unfortunately the only Parking sign was placed 100m down the road against the advertising board for the new area which we failed to see so ended up with a big fine. Nothing to do with the apartment stay however it would be a good idea to possibly inform visitors of this situation so they dont have the same issue as us!
Outstanding location. Very quiet. Well kitted-out apartment. Excellent access to groceries (Sainsburys in same building). And, again, the location!
Collecting keys from a slightly hard to find estate agent's office, the staff were not at all helpful! If we didn't already know Edinburgh well, finding somewhere convenient to park the car could have been more difficult.
The tap for the basin was not working properly. Also, the basin did not drain and no one addressed the complaint.
Location was superb On site parking
No toilet roll Mattress wrong size for bed frame Flat was very room with no obviouls way to contro. the temperature
All very pleasant, the location is great, a perfect place, at the bottom there is a store, walk to the sights was easy. I will recommend it to everyone you know who is going to visit Edinburgh.
very convenient location - starbucks, sainsbury and peter's yard right below the property. well-equipped and spacious. paid parking has a lift that goes straight to the apartment.
staff could be a bit more polite and attentive while picking up the keys. windows doesn't lock. wardrobe door was broken.
Great location for the university and exploring the Old Town area.
Internet access fuzzy at best.
