i booked a superior room and was dissapointed by its size and only one chair, lack of milk and sugar,in room only two of each.and the floor boards are in urgent need of attention. kept me awake all night with people just walking past,i really cant express my dissapointment at the amount of noise these floorboards made. i was amazed at prices being charged in the bar i thought it very expensive and thought of bringing the fair trade people in

Getting better since being taken over. A good budget hotel for a short stay used a lot by business. Rooms variable but well equipped and comfortable. Good breakfast included cooked to order with good choice.

Breakfast was value for money The room was a little tired looking...holes in the wall that needed filling and a window frame that desperately needed painting (room 61)

Nice staff, very helpful when we asked for heating in the room to be switched on. The radiator needed bleeding! Cold room on arrival; allocated a room in the Business Centre Annex, which was inconvenient for the meeting which was held in the main building.

Very clean and friendly. Good price. One of the breakfast staff was a bit rude on all occasions. She seemed as if she didn't like her job.

We asked for a room away from the main road and we were given a very comfortable and spacious room which was one of the cleanest I have stayed in for a long time. When we asked for help to turn the heating down a staff member came immediately and helped to turn it down, although it seemed to be on a central timer and it was difficult to control the temperature. We were able to open the windows so that it was fine.

Nice location, supermarket just accross the street, swimming pool and sauna, very friendly staff. Dog friendly service. Our room was comfortable and big enough, but our friends got much smaller, with very small bathroom and very hot despite window opened all day. But we were out most of the time, so that was not bothering us too much.

Extremely clean and comfortable. The room was a good size as well. The only thing that reduced the mark on staff was the lady taking breakfast orders - blimey what an absolute misery, she was even worse the second morning than the first. Such a shame, because all the other staff were really helpful and friendly.

Easy to find and central for town or visiting the sights around it. A bit disappointed this time as we have stayed there before and it has been cleaner and better maintained. I would never say it was a superior room!!

The hotel was in an ideal place for us to visit family. I can only comment on the room we had for one night room 11, it was small, curtains were closed at 3 in the afternoon, when pulled back there was only a view of brick walls, a bedside shelf has come off the wall, and not put back up, the real down side was that the heating could not be turned off in the room, the thermostat was broken, it was too warm to sleep properly, when we reported this, the reply was sorry about that, not good enough in my opinion, would not stay again.

Very reasonable for a nice hotel. Wish I had used the pool. Breakfast slightly expensive. Didn't like the tv (sport) on in the bar area.

Generally for a three star hotel it was ok entrance foyer was very nice but the corridors etc could do with a revamp. No lift. I can see the difficulties in installing a lift but in this day and age it was a shock to find a hotel without one - even a small one.

The hotel was absolutely fabulous - the room and bathroom was excellent, we stay in a lot of hotels over the year and we have never had such a comfortable bed. The cleaniness of the hotel was second to none and the staff we extremely friendly and helpful. We did not manage to stay for breakfast but we are sure that would not of disappointed us. Many thanks

Four poster suite, small yet attractive. The comfort of the bed, spoiled as is so often the case in all hotels, by sorry excuses for pillows. The door code entry sytem would not work after its first use. £13.50 extortionate price for an average breakfast.

Excellent staff - nothing was too much trouble for any of them; always pleasant & helpful. Food excellent at all times including Room Service. Room very comfortable. Reception area & adjoining seating area very bland - some greenery (plants/fresh flowers) would enhance the area immensely. No tissues in the bedroom/bathroom.

The staff were extremely helpful, breakfast was plentiful, with a wide variety of choice. Health spa looked excellent I just did not get chance to take advantage this time. Bedrooms very clean, tidy with comfortable beds. Very quiet no noise late at night.
