Our room was a bit tatty. Had a big hole in the floor by the bed which I seemed to fall down every morning. Missing bedside table but holes in the wall where it used to be. Could do with the rooms being modernised.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean & tidy, beds comfortable. Room service not 24 hour so a vending machine would have been handy.

The people were very friendly and helpful The breakfast menu did not show that ordering a specially cooked item from it would cost extra money I thought it would have been included. Each item should have had the separate cost next to it.

The main building seemed very nice but we were not in that building, we were in the annex, the business centre. We would never have stayed more than one night in the business centre. If it hadnt been for the fact we arriived late and we had an important appointment we would have gone elsewhere if they hadn't changed the room. The business centre rooms. Not nice, dingy and damp and smelling like a underground dungeon. We were so late for our appointment we didnt have teim to ask about chnages. The room was clean but away from the facilities and real comfort and do not recommend it, it certainly wasn't my idea of comfort. I think we had been pushed outside because we had a dog. Making sure you do not allow yourselves to be put in the business centre.

Freshly cooked breakfast - a pleasant change from self service. Beds fairly comfortable, but see negative comments re housekeeping generally in room. Room was not brilliant. Lots of mould around window, torn net, stained curtain, dust on ledge of headboard. Bathroom size ok, but towel rail too close to door so that it collided and also too close to toilet, burnt knees when sitting! No lift, and we were on second floor, which we did not know and could have been a problem as pensioners. Hotel a bit dated and in need of a refurb in common parts, but nice restaurant.

Location was convenient, room was comfortable but with wallpaper hanging from the ceiling near the bathroom lacked maintenance. The pool/spa changing rooms were disgustingly dirty and lockers had no method of locking. Had to carry all clothing out to pool area where they were in view.

Good location for city, reasonable rates, very friendly greeting nice relaxing lobby/bar area. Comfy, clean bed and bathroom I stayed in a junior suite. Don't be swayed by the name, it was basic. Scuffs on walls and ceiling wallpaper hanging off made it look tatty. In desperate need of a freshen up, would not have been happy if my partner and I were there for a special occasion. As I was only there alone, and for one night I didn't say anything. Bar shutters kept coming down after serving, and service was at times very slow.

The size of the room (junior suite) The smell (stale smell throughout the building) The place creaks with every footstep, the facilities advertised are not what you receive. I wouldn't recommend this place
