The location was great - not too far from the motorway to travel to find it. The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was clean, tidy and had a relaxed atmosphere about it. The food was also fabulous.

It is near my aunt's flat where I was visiting. It has a good car park. The place is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. The staff are pleasant. I have stayed there 3 times and found it the same each time. The fact you have to pay a lot for breakfast. It would be helpful to have a cheaper option, maybe a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of toast or bowl of cereal for, perhaps, £3.50. Also, when I was booking in, there were some guests with large suitcases and they were surprised there wasn't a lift. It didn't affect me as I only had a small bag.

The reception staff were helpful and so were some of the staff in the restaurant. The place was clean although needed updating. There was a rude waiter in the restaurant, the wi-fi was poor and the food wasnt great, particularly for the price. The bed was really hard, the radiator was really noisy and I couldnt get much sleep.

The Hotel was close to the venue of a family party. I have stayed in several Mercure hotels in France and was disappointed with the quality of this hotel, it is definitely not up to the same standard. My room was small, the fittings were of a cheap quality, the stairs and corridors were tired and in need of upgrade. There was only one bath towel in the bathroom and it was only when we were leaving that we discovered a second in the top of the wardrobe! Why put it there when it was a double room booked for 2 people?

The double bed was too small. Although booked an executive room we were provided with a family room. The last time that we stayed in the Bowdon Hotel we had a large double bed and assumed that by booking an enhanced room we would have a large bed again. The Hotel was very hot and so we had our bedroom window fully open and as a result we were disturbed at night by noisy departures at 2.30 am and 4.30 am. Air conditioning would have obviated the need for an open window

Lovely location, only 15 minutes from Manchester and Old Trafford but in a lovely village loaction near Altrincham and Hale. Lovely facilities in all rooms and around the hotel. I only stayed one night as I was attending a football match at Old Trafford but will definitely come again for a longer stay and it'll be my first choice when going to future evening games.

Enjoyed food and within easy reach of Tatten Park Flower Show, which was the object of our visit. Also thought it was a good location for other places of interest and surrounding country side and small towns. Found door key card worked intermittently which was frustrating. Could do with a toilet roll holder in the bathroom.
