The room was clean and of a very high standard for the price. The corridor and some common areas leading to the room looked very worn and well overdue for refurbishment. However the room itself was much better. |

Very nice location and in good decorativeorder Far too many smokers crowding the outside reception stairs on many occasions, would suggest you make it no smoking on premises also would recommend that an instruction sheet be available for operating shower |

newly refurbished bedrooms although one of our friends was in a very dated and tired room but clean. Breakfast staff and food very good and fresh. The front doors jam half open and the reception and bar area need upgrading to the same standard as the bedrooms. |

Convenient for business with access to the M6 & Manchester. The bar are is cosy and well serviced with light snacks & drinks. The staff were polite and helpful. The room heating did not work so I had to move rooms. The shower water in the morning (7am) was cold. |

Only the quality of food for the breakfast. We were allocated a room in the block that had not been refurbished. Our room was outdated, foisty, and we had bites on our legs after sleeping in the bed. When we complained about the poor standard of the room and the evening meal, the manager did discount our bill. The manager also showed us the rooms that had been refurbished and I must admit that these were excellent. It was a shame we were not allocated one of these rooms because it would have made our weekend break more satisfactory. |

Whilst I enjoyed very little about my stay the steak prepared by the chef was outstanding and one of the very best I have ever had. A rare bright point in my stay. Poor facilities (no papers, spartan rooms etc), poor cleanliness (pools of water on the floor in the rooms) and generally pretty tatty especially in the foyer area. The evening meal (less the steak) was generally poor and the house wine undrinkable. I was underwhelmed. |

The food in the restaurant was excellent and portions were very good. The hotel could do with bringing up to date with its decor! |

The food on the evening menu was of a good standard and not over priced. The service by the waiting staff was of a good standard. The sound of running water in the bathroom (Radiator) kept me awake most of the evening, I did inform the receptionist, but was told there was nothing that could be done. (I was a little disappointed) |

this hotel is extremely dirty and dated. We had the "Tatton" Room which was the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in. Very Dirty, smelled damp, the wallpaper was falling off due to damp and was just stuck back on with drawing pins!! The food in restaurant was very poor and the dining room dirty. We booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1 night, in fact we checked out at 8am the next morning and could not wait to leave. Certainly no way should this hotel be classed as 3 Stars. More like 1 or 2 Stars at the most. |

i have stayed here about 7 years ago, i spoke to staff that were there from that time, she was lovely, i asked why it was not in good decorative order and shabby carpets, she said there were problems recently but they had been taken over by another chain and refurbishment was on the agenda, this could be a really nice place again breakfast was good, my husband said there was sand at bottom of jaccuzi, its all needs better managment but i think this is beginning to happen and i wish them well i think encouragement to bring people to this hotel is to have one area for those that are away to party, it would be quiter for those who just want to relax and get a good nights sleep but nothing major |

The decor was nice. THe staff were nice and the evening meal was extreamly good. We had the special offer with evening meal & breakfast included. It was amazing value for money. Mould around tha bath/shower. (Not as bad as some hotels I've sayed in though!) |
