The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable and the shower was excellent - a rarity! The breakfast service was poor. Cold plates for hot food, only one jug of coffee and table clearance slow. The whole place could do with an uplift. |

PLeasant helpful staff Disability access is not good if going to the fourth floor. My friend had to climb some steep stairs to reach the lift and she is on crutches. The lift on the ground floor near reception did not reach the higher floor. I did request a bedroom near the lift because she has recently had major surgery which should have: 1 given an indication to her mobility; 2 the request was ignored as the bedroom was the farthest from the lift on that floor. |

Location for restaurants and bars was good. A very basic hotel, in need of update and renovation. The hotel was very noisy throughout the night, plumbing and heating I believe and people shouting in the corridors at 5am. The shower was tiny and basic. |

It was quiet. The double bed seemed to be two singles forced together which meant there was a groove down the middle which was uncomfortable at times. There was a leak in the bathroom which caused water to pool on the floor when a bath was run. I didn't consider these to be sufficient problems to complain about them. |

the fact that the hotel was clean and comfortable and the shower was very good, powerfull for mixer taps!!! The walls seemed very thin was kept awake by Japanese guests next door. |

good hotel considering low price I came from continental Europe - so for excample mobile phone charger and other stuff didn´t fit in plugs in England, but when I asked in the hotel reception, they didn´t have adapter for plug - that bothered me most. |

The hotel was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. When I arrived with my wife, we immediately requested a change in room as the first room we were given was absolutely awful. The room was tiny, and just looked horrible. We were then given another room. This room was slightly bigger. However the bed was so uncomfortable you could feel the spings when you slept. As soon as the taps were turned on in the bathtub and the sinks they began to overflow immediately, the drainage system was poor. The ironing board was broken, when we requested another one the porter who brought it up was not very pleasant. The cups were not clean and the staff were not very helpful. We hardly slept at all. |

Location only £6 taxi ride into Birmingham City Centre. 24hr reception. Nice Bathroom The decor in the corridors and in the room was a bit shabby and old. The lift smelt and was carpeted walls, floor and ceiling alike. |

The bar staff member was fantastic, very chatty and helpful, he recommended the curry which was delicious, thanks chef! I wasn't told upon checkin that the restaurant was closed or were or how to use the facilities within the hotel - so I didn't! There was also no information about the facilities in the bedroom or a room service menu. |

The Reception area looks like it has recently been updated and does look very impressive. Free car parking is a bonus. I booked an Executive room but had to go back to Reception to suggest they'd forgotten this once I'd seen the room. However, they assured me this was an Executive room. It was appalling. The door was peeling with varnish, the wallpaper was scuffed, ripped and dirty in places, the wash basin had a large crack in it, one of the curtains wasn't fitted properly, the carpet had seen better days, there was an old stain on one towel. I could go on. If this is Quality Hotels' idea of an Executive room, I think they need to question their standards. |

I was very disappointed, firstly the phone did not work, then I spent 2 hours in the bathroom the door handle had come off in my hand, I could not wake my partner to open from the other side. I was questioned at breakfast that I had not paid, which I had, the guy did however go and sort it out with reception. The first guy I asked on reception if they had a fax I could use, said I dont know only just come on. Would I recommend this hotel, I would have to be sure not all rooms were the same, and mine was a one off. I work with lots of women in the beaty industry who are always after room one two days a week, I would be relucent to push quality. |

As me and my friend were going out in Birmingham to Broad street on the Saturday night we wanted somewhere close, convinient and cheap to stay. We normally stay at the paragon hotel but since they had put there prices up to £40 a room we decided to stay somewhere closer to Broad street & found the quality hotel. Even though it is very basic ... (Which we weren't bothered about anyway) location was great and the comfort of the hotel was nicer than that of any budget hotel we have stayed at before. The rooms were larger than what i imagined and the facilities such as the tv were unexpected! Also LOVED the parking facilities. There are virtually no hotels in Birmingham with free parking - certainly made our decision easier when booking The showers were a bit of a pain as they are very cheap and a bit of a nuissance to use, other than that i think the rooms were pretty decent. The reception area is also very nice to walk into. |

I like the fact the room was clean, clean linen and facilities. worth the cost an fit for it's purpose and the staff were quite friendly there were no DVD player as advertise, some buttons on the tv remote didn't work |
