location and parking was good
a bit dated!
Walking distance to venue
The hotel is quite close to the city centre.
The hotel was incredibly noisy overnight and the breakfast was very poorly organised.
Staff not friendly at all. Poor cleanliness.
everything to hand, bar, restaurant, parking, small parade of shops fantastic Indian restaurant and steak house across the road. Also use of a full gym for small fee.
party held in back garden in next door hotel ie disco and shouting but close windows and no problem its not this hotels fault
As we came towards the hotel it looked a bit rubbish. There was plenty of parking around the back. Staff were very helpful. I didn't have much hope for the room but when I opened the door it was like a different hotel. I'm guessing they are doing it up as our room was of a very high standard and well turned out. I would stay again. Great location by that I mean close enough to the city while being far enough not to have the noise. Breakfast was perfect, Buffet style. Really a great hotel if you can look past the outside and the carpet in the halls. I'm sure when the refurb is finished the prices will go up.
The outside of the building doesn't reflect the inside. Carpets in the hallways are old
Clean, functional and good value for money. Good location and car parking.
Could not turn off radiator in room on a warm evening. A hot and sticky night was had by all.
Location to my business appointment.
The room was very dated. The toilet was not attached to the wall and so wobbled. Only wi-fi available was at reception.
Cheap, comfortable, good location
no lift, long wait time to check in
Reception area was good.
The corridors where untidy, decoration is poor. Bedrooms & bathroom could do with being decorated to a higher standard. Carpets needs to thrown away & a better quality fitted. The hotel has the qualities of a poor B&B.
Much cheaper than Premier Inn next door - £73 including breakfast and with pool facility. Bed was comfortable. TV good. Shower worked well.
Fire alarm went off intermittently twice soon after we arrived. People were milling about unsure what to do - Went to check with reception and no-one there for a while...then told it was due to cooking in the kitchen! Some aspects of hotel dated and a little shabby. One waitress at breakfast, looked half asleep and completely uninterested in anything leaving all the work to her colleagues.
the staff were friendly but reception was to busy.
whenever any one used their shower or toilet it sounded as though some one was using a loud drill.of course this happened most of the night.
the staff were realy very friendly and helpful. 1st room we were in was very noisey and had lots of problems so the staff moved us the 2nd room had the secondary double glazing taken out so we had lots off road noise.
the room was very shabby the door was hanging off a unit, the unit top had the laminate coming off on 2 of them, the upstand of carpet was coming away and their was big holes in the bath panel.
Everything - no real customer appreciation, room was in a very poor state. Staff pretty disinterested in any comments. Had to clear our own table for breakfast, no plug on bathroom, cupboard door falling off, laminate peeling off on drawer top - generally rubbish
No frig in d room and not allowed to keep your food in d frig and also heat your cool food
Booked this by mistake as thought we were at the NIA which is close by and we were at the NEC. As we were u able to cance it I used it. The Receptionist was very helpful upon arrival and told us how to get to the NEC and they had their own taxi firm which was great. our room was pleasant too and clean there were 3 of us in the one room and it was comfortable so no complaints there.
The Breakfast was not brilliant, we asked for a table and there was no tablecloth put on and people were having to sit on sofas to eat their breakfast, was a bit chaotic and food not that appealing.
staff were very friendly and helpful
pool was a little cool
Large party of Chinese took over entire breakfast room so when we came down there were no set tables, cutlery and the food was cold. Not enough staff to deal with such a large party and this meant the other guests didnt get a great breakfast.
The room was clean
found the staff to be quite unfriendly, had to wait ages to check in and asked for radiator to be turned off in room as it was really unbearably hot and it wasn't done...on top of that staff at leisure centre were very rude- me and my boyfriend were asked to leave as we were having a cuddle in the Jacuzzi which apparently was inappropriate due to children being there, we fought our case and stayed put but I was extremely embarrassed we weren't being rude and in my opinion I think they need to work on their customer service skills!!!!
Location was good, beds were comfortable.
Bathroom was tiny, no more than a cupboard. Only had 1 towel in a twin room and both wanted to shower. Wardrobe had no back to it, no teaspoons in room. Staff on reception helpful but obviously harassed. Voucher to have cocktails in bar - tried - both served in wine glasses, one tasted like a milkshake and the other like sherbert, yuukk! Dirty plates left in bar area from previous diners despite staff not very busy. Didnt bother trying the pool. Hotel felt cheap and nasty.
Food ordered in the restaurant in the evening was nice
We picked this hotel purely for the swimming pool which was out of order when we stayed. It should have reopened after a refurb days before we arrived but it hadn't opened. A complete waste of money and wouldn't have stayed if we had known. Feel robbed.
Ease of access and parking. Breakfast staff were helpful and conscientious
Not only could the shower not be operated but the bath plug was faulty so it would not retain water so I couldn't take a bath either!!.......and this in a so called refurbished room. Breakfast not brilliant with "stewed" bacon and mushrooms but staff arranged freshly prepared food for me
For the price the room we had was quite spacious and so was the ensuite. It was clean an we had a nice view out the back..
Only fault was our bedroom was nxt to the lift and all night we heard it going up and down right behind our headboard
inside the hotel looks worn, doors bashed, carpets dirty. Our bedroom was nice but the hallways etc need a revamp
