Staff friendly Rooms big and clean Good dining area Bar have great cocktail deals
Location and price
Beds were not comfortable at all. We had Drunk men knocking on our doors and there was no security. Didn't feel safe. No lifts so carried all luggage up the stairs.
Rooms not as pictures on line, scruffy and run down - needs refurb, breakfast horrible. Staff helpful
Gym,reception service good,
Towels worn out , Shower average. Air con inoperative and not available.
The staff at the Cobden Hotel are a great credit and asset to the company, the service level from reception, dinner and bar personal was excellent, I travel all over the country and have not had such good service in 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Paul 10/8/2014
breakfast was very good the staff there was offering to make a vegetable breakfast for us. which was very nice of her, friendly staff and helpful,
room needed a little more of a clean, did find broken glass on the floor the day we arrived,
Easy to find. Lots of parking, but few disabled spaces. Bed clean. Breakfast ample.
My room was very dusty and run down. Curtains and nets old and damaged. Rooms at front very noisy. Difficult to find a disabled parking space , so had a long walk to reception.
Noisy and not clean
the free parking
staff were abrupt, outside garden area was disgusting, was told the road the hotel was on was not a nice place to be in on a night.
Friendly staff Clean and good sized room Very reasonably priced food in the bar, presented well and good sized portions Swimming pool and leisure facilities excellent for price of stay
Cost of WiFi
The staff were friendly enough, the room was out of the way and a fair size and the stay wasn't unpleasant
You have to pay for wifi in the room, the bathroom smelt strongly of urine after the cleaner had been in and it all felt a bit neglected and unclean
Provided a fan on request
No air-con tap broken on bath, couldn't have a shower
Location was good. Lots of restaurants neaby. Comfortable bed.
Other male guests were in corridor in underwear. We also saw other male guests having an argument and swearing in the corridors. Pool too small for the amount of people using it. Lots of children in the pool at 7:30pm at night splashing so we couldn't swim lengths properly.
Bar staff, breakfast staff fantastic. Room was clean
Shower was a trickle!!!! Bed was lumpy like sleeping on a frogs back so a distubed nights sleep!
Leisure centre Staff
Restaurant - breakfast was awful First room shower didn't work Second room pipes made horrible noise everytime water was run. Threadbare carpet Dirty sheets
Room was clean and adequate for the price we paid
The bathroom needed a total upgrade My husband got stuck in the middle of the night when the door jambed. phoned reception but 10 minutes later he managed to get the door open. When I phoned reception again I do not think they had made any attempt to help.
No nonsense service, ample parking space, quiet and spacious room, practical location tovtravel from.
Price did not include breakfast
person who checked us in a young lady, baring in mind im young myself, seemed very snobby and looked down on myself and partner, as it seemed, made me feel very unwelcomed and awkward
Location out of town ,
Very noisey , no double glazing windows let in all the noise from the reception area below our window , rooms needed updating and re-decorating, bathroom taps loose and mould on tiles .
Had a fantastic stay at the Cobden Hotel, will defiantly stay here again staff was very pleasant, polite and helpful. Highly recommended. Many thanks to all the staff for making my stay so great
Didn't find any
Extensive menu, room service was very good. Clean room. Very good.
Hallways need updating.
Location was handy for where we wanted to be and the hotel for the price was very reasonable. Rooms were clean and relatively modern.
There was a queue upon check in, although I think we just picked a bad time as a local sporting event had recently finished.
Surrounding close to canals and city centre, staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival good clean rooms and facilities all round first class and value for money
