Price did not include breakfast
person who checked us in a young lady, baring in mind im young myself, seemed very snobby and looked down on myself and partner, as it seemed, made me feel very unwelcomed and awkward
Location out of town ,
Very noisey , no double glazing windows let in all the noise from the reception area below our window , rooms needed updating and re-decorating, bathroom taps loose and mould on tiles .
Had a fantastic stay at the Cobden Hotel, will defiantly stay here again staff was very pleasant, polite and helpful. Highly recommended. Many thanks to all the staff for making my stay so great
Didn't find any
Extensive menu, room service was very good. Clean room. Very good.
Hallways need updating.
Location was handy for where we wanted to be and the hotel for the price was very reasonable. Rooms were clean and relatively modern.
There was a queue upon check in, although I think we just picked a bad time as a local sporting event had recently finished.
Surrounding close to canals and city centre, staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival good clean rooms and facilities all round first class and value for money
pleasant welcoming staff. Very good location.
Shower Size of room Location
Incredibly noisy room next to the lift with very thin walls making sleep difficult Only one member of staff working on a very busy Friday night, responsible for both bar and reception. 10 of us not served for 20 minutes. Curtains don't close
Breakfast was great, staff were professional and polite. Great value for money
Aircon in room broken and lights flashed all night. Hairs in bathroom and in beds. Rooms in general dated and lots of noise and people loitering around outside hotel.nothing like the pictures on the site
Location Offer - park tickets, breakfast and room Breakfast was nice
Bathroom rather small, ok for one night but not sure how we would have managed if stayed longer. Shower was also very compact.
The food was terrible In morning. Also the room was not best cleaned as found someone's underwear
Good proximity for our needs
The room was very cold - the window handle/latch was broken - the duvets were thick but not warm - the room smelled musty.
Staff were great at reception bar staff really friendly room was clean cleaner very helpful pool and sauna pretty good small gym was great but could be a little busy at times also near some nice food venues
The accommodation was excellent, great breakfast and the staff were above all the best part of the stay. Very helpful, happy and polite.
The swimming pool walls and fixtures were dirty and the rust was quite offputting.
Food beds and staff are all great
Paying for wifi
Friendly staff, good rooms
Car park was dark
Having the swimming pool and jacuzzi almost to ourselves for 2 hours was a great way to spend an afternoon.
The shower head didn't fit which meant holding it all the time.
Not a lot.
Marks all over walls, broken appliances and a dirty bathroom
The receptionists were very helpful and friendly - but some of the other staff we found unfriendly and never smiled. The chamber maids were lovely and helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money - good size rooms. Ideal for walking into the city.
The hotel is tired and needs updating - the leisure facilities are good but needs attention to detail - the changing rooms need work on them too. On going down to the pool Sunday morning there were broken bottles outside and condoms along the path - not the hotels fault as there was some noisy guests on the Sat night.
room was lovely
noisy guests but not the hotels fault!!
The bedroom, cleanliness, breakfast. Staff very friendly.
The total lack of ability of the staff to be able to simply povide me with one bill for two nights stay because I had booked them seperately and at one stage being informed that I would have to come down the following morning and confirm my booking. The system needs updating- I had to pay seperately for the two nights, rubbish. I also was witness to bar staff saying that management policy was not to provide ice for customers to take to their rooms and taking pleasure after the customer had gone for keeping upto the rules even though the customer offered to pay for the ice. Is this not madness.
Car park was good
No access to the breakfast for wheelchair and the food was cold. The staff could have been more informative as to facility Olson there was a smell of smoke In the room.
the staff. very friendly and welcoming
everything other than the staff, it had no star rating so that sums it up and also the facilities not great. paint work terrible, no AC, swimming area not good and the whole cleanliness of the place was just not good
