The hotel was very dated and tired
not far from city centre. Although on main road it is very quiet. Very comfortable, room very spacious
Been here a few times now easy to get to where we needed to be
comfortable bed, free wifi, quiet room
free wifi was not obvious (not free for everyone)
Old lifts (felt insecure) cleanliness of the landings, decor throughout it seemed although jobs had started but not finished
Control of heating, Good size room, Comfortable bed, Good WiFi connection, Good size en-suite and good choice at breakfast
Breakfast cold, Corridors cold,
Room was clean and comfortable
Hotel needed a refurb
The meals were excellent very nicely presented and a lot off it and a good price
Location to cadbury world. Only positive is breakfast was quite good
Bedding was ripped electrics hanging from wall. Small television on the whole hotel needs refurbing. £86 a night and did not have a good nights sleep. Do not go truly awful
large room, nice grounds, good to swim each day in the pool.
would have been good to have had free wi fi in our room for the whole stay - its only available for 24 hours after which we could get free wifi in the public reception/lounge.
The reception, the rooms, the corridors, the bar all in need of major refurbishment. Smelly old and definitely not worth paying for....do not go there!
We stayed 1 night of a 2 night booking. Bed was hard and small. Pillows were like bricks. The room itself was disgusting. The bathroom no better. My partner itched all night and woke up covered in red lumps!! Shameful place to advertise as a hotel!!! Still waiting on the manager to email us. We have pictures of the dirt and grime. And do not get me started on what we found when the bed covers were pulled back!! Made my skin crawl to know I had spent a night there.
pool, san una and steam room all good, very hot
Wi Fi Two rooms. First night for 1 room free. Second night had to pay
Nothing (24 hour opening bar would be nice if it was actually stocked with basics)
I've never left a bad review for a hotel before. Its going to be difficult to fit in the list of niggles. Broken door, rowdy crowd, 12x No Spitting signs in the leisure centre which is frankly disgusting, unbelievably poor customer service, farcical check out (wouldnt let me use lift because i was 2 minutes late), shortage of towels, was told after no eye contact for 5 minutes with a fixed eye "we're getting you a towel as a real favour to you" broken furniture, burnt desk, broken shelves, a "the shining" quality to the stairwells, faulty access card, that's for starters. £9 wifi per device per day, insane breakfast policy, very rude breakfast staff, very rundown, understand why they felt awkward calling it "the quality hotel" and had to change the name
Argentinian restaurant across the road...fantastic steaks.
Dated and tired
The key to my room was broke so everyday after work I had to wait 20 minutes while reception sorted everybody else out who was checking in.
Pool and bar
Spa all jets not working
Hotel was in a good location.
Room was not clean and needed a refurb. Leisure centre and pool was dirty didn't even provide towels for guests. Very limited choice for breakfast.Overall not a nice experience
Close to city centre with restaurants and shops with a couple of pubs closeby, the food was excellent with big portions in the hotel. And getting back and on the m5 was easy
Food and facilities
Quite chilly sitting in lounge area
Definitely clean in the places that matter, pleasant staff, bed comfortable
Not a "didn't like" but an observation - it feels like someone inexperienced in the hotel business has taken on the project - they have vision ... but are not at the moment in control of the practical issues - maintenance & refurbishment on the scale of a large hotel is not like running your own home. But overall ... it looks promising...I shall go back.
Breakfast was good value.
Poor bar facilities and lack of a comfortable and relaxing lounge.
I did like the access to the leisure facilities plus the bar food which was very reasonably priced and you got plenty too.
On first entry to my room there was a strange musty sort of smell.
