When we arrived we were met by friendly helpful staff the room was lovely the food was good and plenty of choice I will return here next time we are in Bournmouth
Evening meal package very good value. Location and distance to beach and bus connections good
Room 108 was excessively hot - in September ....
breakfast was good as well as staff, it is very close to the see side and the city center which is very nice and has parking place which is very help full i will recomand this hotel to travelers
positionsnd it was ,clean. breakfast ok
room was needing updating ,bathroom taps broken...it just was very tired the hotel.bed was very lumpy
Very good location. Food ok
Noise from the room above me.floorboards very creaky
Well situated in a quiet area, a reasonable number of parking spaces, good friendly staff, a number of comfortable lounge and bar areas, an excellent breakfast and clean and comfortable rooms all at a very good price.
Squeeky floorboards which could be annoying but on this occasion they weren't
The cleanliness of our room - it was spotless and the bedding was too. The breakfast was delightful, although maybe a few croissants/rolls would be welcome as well as toast. The public rooms were all very clean. Reception staff were very helpful..
The food in the restaurant in the evening was not good. We ate there because I am disabled and get very tired so it stopped us having to trail around looking for restaurants. However, apart from a very good tomato soup, the food was at best bland and at worst inedible. This was a shame as the breakfasts were so good. We did not sleep too well as the room was extremely hot even though we had two fans going. The bathroom was also very hot and quite clautrophobic, especially for me as I find it difficult to move around. This was a shame as the beds were very comfortable.
mattress too soft woke up early every night with bad back. Staff said all mattress were like that. No headboard on bed and told they were all like that, until staff finally put one on the bed.
Average 3 star. We had a meal in restaurant which was average would not eat in again but would consider going back as location was good.
Very squeaky floor in bedroom, the whole floor was noisy, the staff were mostly foreign, some, at meal times did not seem to understand and just pointed in a general direction!
Hotel in need of a update. Bathroom old and worn, floors creaked when the rooms on either side and above were occupied, which was every day.
Very clean, pleasant staff, brilliant location
Very hot in the room and the shower was not powerfully enough
Cooked breakfast. Professionalism of staff. Courtesy of staff. Value for money
"Continental" breakfast. Celebrity theme throughout hotel - rather tasteless. Exterior appearance of hotel and colour of décor looked rough and tacky. Very noisy room overlooking car park.
Stayed again in the celebrity fir 1 night. We had the Ken Dodd room, lovely large room beauitfully decorated which was spotlessly clean ,well done to the cleaning girls/ladies. Breakfast was help yourself, excellent with as much or as little as you want and replenished often so it seemed always freshly cooked. Staff at the celebrity from reception to breakfast room and cleaners were very friendly and helpful. Could not ask for more and we will not stay anywhere else unless we can help it. Thanks to all at the celebrity!!!
Nothing to dislike.
Location, easy for town and beach Nice bar, bit expensive and pleasant dining
Very poor mattress and no air con in rooms.
Good English Breakfast
Drinking water supply
Close to beach so didn't need to drive, lovely hotel and staff very welcoming. Food was very good. Breakfast was very busy and well staffed ready to help if needed anything.
Location and breakfast were the plus points, and the bed/linen were also appreciated.
Bathroom very small for a triple room, and positioning of the tv was inconvenient,at 90 deg to the bed. Room doors looked like prison doors, and the exterior decor is very outdated with a red stripe right across the hotel. Restaurant food in the evening was below standard too. Breakfast buffet could have had more choice of fruit/breads.
Staff and food
Matress was so bad that we became sick...in my openion they never changed it since many many years.. the room was noisy you hear even the breath of neighbors....
We stayed in the hotel last year at the same weekend (Airshow) and it location suits us well. This year's room wasn't quite as good as last, but none the less, it was satisfactory for our needs. Staff were always very pleasant. Breakfasts were more than adequate
Our room was a little smaller than last year's and therefore not quite as comfortable. The shower was too powerful for the small cubicle. The whole hotel needs to be updated re decoration, especially in the stair wells. Very dated
central location, nice room and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
We stayed for two nights and on the first night we decided after returning from a night out to have a drink at the bar. We were told to go to the bar (situated behind the reception desk, wall inbetween), which we did, ordered our drinks and paid, but when we tried to sit told, we were quickly informed that this was a private party and could we leave. We did leave but felt in the first instance that we should have been informed of this prior to going to the bar and esoecially after ordering and then paying for drinks. Other than this mishap everything was good.
Excellent location of hotel. The history of the hotel was very interesting. The evening meal was of the highest quality. The hotel also had very useful parking facilities.
Breakfast was a little disappointing as the continental area was rather cramped. There was little choice of cereal. there were no extras available, such as yogurt or fresh fruit. However, the English breakfast was fine.
resteraunt bars lounges televisions roomservice
noise from above i.e loose floofing. mirror was out of reach of hairdryer had to borow extention lead.
All the staff were all helpful and friendly, the hotel was always very clean and the location was perfect. Our room was comfortable, and nicely decorated, the bathroom looked newly fitted(great shower)always plenty of hot water.Good variety at breakfast.
Our room over looked the car park and bar terrace,on our last night people were sitting outside chatting and laughing till about 12'o'clock.There was no shelf or cabinet in the bathroom to keep your toiletries.
Good staff and good breakfast.
We stayed in room 235 which was very tired looking, the floor boards creeked where ever you walked, which was most annoying. But the room was clean, and we had fresh towels every day.
