The efficiency of staff. In particularly, Sharon, the receptionist, who was extremely helpful. The room we occupied was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Location on a busy road

The staff. They were superb. They accepted our complaint over the first room, number 310, they gave us and moved us without any problem, The food in the restaurant was also great with a great breakfast The first room they gave us, 310, was not clean and looked as though someone had already been lying on the bed!

like the free car parking that all good about it. our room need a fully redo. there 3 holes on the wall in our bedroom as if someone has punch though it. why let the room out if they want people to see it and complain about it. i will never go back there until they redo the place up. it way out of date.

Staff were very friendly especially those in the restaurant and on reception. Only drawback was the beds. The bases of the beds were very unstable and made for a shaky nights sleep.

The location , which also has a convenient transport system into the City...train. There was something really nice about the hotel..design, warmth of staff, breakfast. It was quite tranquil. The room had a double and single bed. Above the single bed were wall markings as if made by a child and the base of the bed looked a bit stained. I found that a bit off putting as I slept in that bed and my two teenage daughters used the double bed which was much nicer.

The location and parking facilities were good and the staff tried hard to balance guest needs with the requirements of wedding parties -which are a feature of this hotel provision. Free Wifi was also a positive feature although the paperwork indicated pricing could apply. The noise from wedding party was a significant negative in my stay despite my room being allocated as far away from the Conference facility as possible. A major disappointment was the quality of the food and dinner could only be described as dreadful. It is the first time I have seen a chef manage to provide such tough haddock . Breakfast did not demonstrate any better skills with poor choice of fruit ( mandarin oranges /prunes only ) , but the cooked food again was truly awful . The bacon was incredibly hard and the potato cake had sufficient oil in it to keep an Inuit for a year. The toaster settings were fixed by the hotel and provided black toast on one side whilst the other remained soft and uncooked. This information was fed back on the hotel comment sheet.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious, the shower very powerful and the food served in the hotel lovely. The bedrooms are well away from the main hotel and are secluded and private. There was no noise from the main road outside The Ulster fry at breakfast was an added bonus included in the price of the room. I really couldn't fault the hotel at all.

When we registered, staff member Jill, checked us in. She was so personable, giving us directions, helping us to obtain a very quiet room, she set the tone for our 7 night stay. In fact, we had planned to change hotels mid-week but one of the reason's we stayed at the Clarion was because of Jill. Our daily "full Irish" breakfast was made memorable by Peter, he was so pleasant and efficient every morning, making sure we had coffee that was fresh and our eggs cooked exactly the way we requested. The staff at the Clarion were exceptional and we would return to this hotel because of them. Kathleen and Richard Schell Lakeland, FL USA
