This is one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in during our 5 week trip. We used it as a place to stay before catching a ferry the next morning. It was a wonderful respite! |

The bed in room 418 was especially comfortable. Reception staff very helpful when my husband fell ill and arranged for paramedics to attend. Room a bit noisy with large lorries passing to nearby depots. |

Its in the centre of Carrickfergus. Good breakfast in the morning delivered by the nicest person I encountered in the hotel during my 24hrs stay she should teach the rest how to do it - hospitality really is lacking at the Clarion For the price I would have expected a hairdryer that worked! I needed to check my emails and was told it would cost me 10stg for wifi access which is completely unacceptable, I would have expected this to be included in the price of the room or if not to be on a minimum hourly rate - has the current economic climate not reached the Clarion.... |

Reception had to stay open after 11.15PM to check us in -- ferry into Larne was late. This proved to be no problem and welcome was very much appreciated. Particularly liked the thought that had gone into layout and facilities of room and bathroom. |

Comfortable bar closed Monday - Friday. Bar in reception area very uncomfortable. Bar staff unpleasant. Bar meal and breakfast made with cheap and poorly cooked food. Service poor. |
