sevice and food excellent and very pleasant They omitted to install a phone in the room and the hot water tap just trickled out slowly. I informed them at the desk and the lady said she would get it sorted |

The Hotel has just been taken over and is in the process of being brought up to date in all areas. Our bedroom had been refurbished to a high standard and I hope the rest of the Hotel will be as well transformed. |

its in quite countryside area, planty space for parking, chester town ,zoo and shoping was quite near by. Its had a swing pool steem and sunna as well there was an odour of stale smoke in the room even though it was non smokin room. At brackfast time we noticed that when bacon tray was refilled by one of watresses some fat was dropped into the beans and into the tomatoes aswell, if you are vegetarian then this practice is very inappropriate. thanks |

I was quite close to where we were going ie Port Sunlight. The breakfast was wonderful and the Manager Waitress/Waiter were excellent so to were the reception staff including the young lady from Spain (Adios Amigos) No It was brilliant But please note I have not answered your question below regarding do I think quest reviews about this hotel on our website accurately reflect you experience there, because I cannot see the reviews on this page. |

The swimming pool was very nice as was the breakfast, in terms of value for money it was excellent The bed was a bit hard, and we had to use the towels from our room for the pool - although these would get replaced in the morning it made baths in the evening problematic |

The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and we found the swimming pool very good. Breakfast was good. I hesitate to complain as the hotel is in the process of refurbishment, but our room had a wardrobe with only one door and the cold tap gave us warm water not cold! |

Staff were very friendly and in the main helpful whilst at times forgetful. Room I had was a good size. Location to Motorway as a business traveller was close enough fo ease of acces but far enough away to appear to be in the country. The Hotel is undergoing renovation so had its Basil Fawlty moments. The shame is with a lot more attention to detail, better junior staff training and a general smartening has the potential to be a good hotel. Worth a try in the future. Twice as far from Liverpool as indicated Definitly need a car |

The staff were very helpful, and the half-board deal was good value for money. The restaurant menu had a good range of options for dinner during the three nights of my stay, and all menu choices were available. Restaurant service was slow one night. The hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment, which some guests may find off-putting, but I didn't. |

The staff on Reception and in the restuarant were welcoming and helpful. Although there were two wedding parties going on during our stay we were not disturbed by noise late at night. The beds were very comfortable. The car park needs to have parking spaces clearly marked. There seemed to be some confusion about parking places. |

Food and bar excellent, room lovely, very spacious. Lovely view, very quiet. Great location, big car park, easy to find, lovely restaurant, so glad we chose it. Definitely stay again, can't wait! Although there were only 3 other people for breakfast on last morning, waitress hopeless, never came for our order, served people who arrived after us first, had to call her over, got orders wrong, didn't tell us options for breakfast, when ran out of juice, etc, had to ask for that, ie didn't seem to notice this. Previous morning it was buffet which was much better. |

The room was adequately, if not generously furnished. The breakfast was very good and, on the morning when the hotel was full, excellently managed. Reception was not the best organised. Asked if I wanted to order a newspaper, this was not done. There were extras on the bill I had not had and someone by me at check-out was also having problems. There was an unpleasant electronic bzz through the hotel during the day. Had I needed to work in my room that would have been disturbing. On speaking to reception the girl was unaware of the noise. Whatever it was, though, was switched off during the evenings. More drawer space in the room would have been useful. The TV recetion in the room was awful. Reception said there was nothing that could be done as it was the same throughout the hotel and blamed it on the digital swith-over. The television in the bar had perfect reception. |

The receptionist upon arrive was very helpful and friendly and also a good sense of humour. He made us most welcome. The bed was wonderful, we both slept very well. We have used this hotel many times in the past and have always had a good experience with it. |

Although the service I received from Booking.com was excellent, the staff on the Hotel Reception desk had booked my Father and I into a double room, despite my reservation being clearly marked as requiring a twin or similar arrangement as the room type. Although they did give me a complimentary room, I wouldn't book with this hotel again - if they can do this once, they will do it again. |
