Royal Hotel

Nice looking hotel. Entrance and bar area very nice. Accomodating staff. Rooms functional and 'adequate'

Rooms were hot and stuffy. Not as clean as I would expect

I have stayed there many times before and really know what to expect. Nothing flashy. Polite and friendly staff. Comfortable.

Beginning to look a little faded and past its sell-by date. Needs a good lick of paint and cleaning of upholstery in the lounge area. I can understand why as has changed hands several times in the recent past.

Having only one night to attend an raob gle meeting on the Monday morning I had little time to doing anything other than meet a few friends and have a quick look at one of the shoping area'S.

I did not like to see the black mould in the corner of the bath neirther black marks on the bed sheet when I pulled back the top covers. However I enjoyed the visit and thought the food was excelent.

The staff was helpful and friendly. When we had to wait for our room, the staff bought us a drink in the lobby.

We had to wait until 4:30 for our room because there were dozens of new mattresses being delivered to the lobby when we arrived. Also the phones were not working properly.

Good value hotel,food and facilities of acceptable standard. Central location with adequate car parking. Staff most courteous and helpful.

it was handy for the shops and local restaurants.

Good buffet breakfast. Location - next to the railway and bus stations

liquid soap dispenser either empty or did not work properly. Since this was the only source of soap for washing this was very inconvenient. Unpleasnat odour on 1st floor landing area on exiting lifts

although it was a smoking room....air freshner would not have gone amiss

Several items in the room were broken and it was a bit neglected
