Newgate Hotel Newcastle

Zeer vriendelijk en kundig personeel. Ideale ligging. Mooi ingerichte ruime kamers en badkamers. Uitstekend ontbijt. Een meer dan goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

In het centrum met heel veel winkels en restaurants om de hoek. Kamers zijn schoon. Bed en douche waren prima.

Erg gehorig omdat het uitgaansleven ook om de hoek is. Alles in hotel is erg gedateerd. Wel schoon.

Kwaliteit bed slecht, wc functioneerde niet

Goede, centrale locatie. Prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding zeer goed. Mooi uitzicht vanaf de eetzaal. Goed eten.

De badkamer was niet prettig, het was niet schoon, de wc trok vaak niet door en de douche werkte niet goed. Ook was er veel geluidsoverlast.

Het was dicht bij waar ik moest zijn.

Kamer was niet proper

i liked that the newgate hotel was in an ideal area for shopping and clubbing. very well situated.

Closeness to shops and nightlife

Leaving, and getting to my meeting so that I was able to brush my teeth and have a shave.

There are many areas that I felt disappointed with: The lifts did not work, as the lifts did not work there was a hike up to the 6th floor to reach the restaurant. The bathroom was especially poor, the bath was full of water on arrival; the sink did not empty of water as there must have been a block in the pipes, and there was a very potent smell in the bath room of damp, when flushing the loo, the lack of pressure did not flush away what it is intended to. I was unable to close the windows fully and as the hotel was located next to a very busy night life area, which was very noisy for most of the night, this was not highlighted within the description of the hotel online, it suggest that the hotel is in the centre of the City but no mention of the club life around the hotel. I feel that the money I paid for this very poor facility hotel was extortionate. My colleague also was very disappointed with the facilities and the cleanliness of the room

Helpful staff , comfy bed and good cooked breakfast

Lift not working and breakfast served on sixth floor.

The Staff were very helpful and could not do enought to please. the location was ideal for the trip which i had planned. The room was clean and the linel fresh on the beds.

The room is a little dated and needs upgrading. The winows were single glazed, given it location and the noise from the street double glazing is required. The entrance off the street could be improved (if possible.)

The hotel was in a grate location and the staff where really nice room and as for the room, the bathroom could have done with a little work but was clean and not a bad size. The room its self was relly nice, clean and very comfortable. All in all a very good hotel.

Central location, quiet bar, clean room, cumfy bed.

poor sigle glazed windows were draughty and the street noise came straight in.
