Noisey room with generators rumbling all night Water noise throughout the night Rusty grim bathroom with spiders and cobwebs
Beds were comfy, room spacious (2 big lads sharing a twin room), tucked away from noise and pleasant gardens to rear of hotel
Bar was VERY expensive. Hotel looks a little 'let go'. Needs a tidy up in general to building and internals. Has great potential with a little tlc.
Fairly cheap accomodation.
Needs complete refurbishment.
Staff very friendly, plenty of parking and female bays by entrance
Room extremly hot, was on ground floor and couldnt leave window open as someone could easily enter as a large window Bed dirty when I lifted the sheets, and most uncomfortable ever
The rooms and linen were clean. Breakfast was very good value. Lots of food to choose from and it is buffet style so you can eat as much as you like. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly.
The guest rooms need a make over.
Food was passable, but a very limited menu. Some of the things that we pre-ordered (a week in advance) weren't available. Pretty poor value for money, could have had a better meal for less at countless town centre restaurants.
Room was reasonable Friendly & helpful staff
Wanted to extend an extra night, and had to pay almost 2 x as much as the first night. Old and somewhat dated, although our room had recently been refurbished to a good standard, but other people were complaining about peeling paint in their rooms, etc. Located in the middle of a housing estate. Hotel evening meal was a 'ping & ding', so tried the pub in the village, Bold Dragoon, and got a good meal.
The bed was comfy The shower was very good
The building work outside from 7.30am! Run down - needing a refurb Smelt of smoke in corridors Very expensive for what we got No staff in the restaurant Microwaved food Poor standard for the money we paid
Price as booked well in advance
Needs a bit of a tidy up as looking a bit tired and room smelt of damp
*Staff was helpful and very friendly *Room was pleasant and spacious *Bed was very comfortable
*Window wouldnt open so room was very hot *Shower didn't work properly
staff and location. staff were very good sorted a problem staright away, and very helpful. also eat at the hotel and food was good.
I had staff to change room due to the unusal postion of the TV. Staff sorted immediately.
the bed was next to the wall, and at are age donot want to climb over to go to bathroom.the ceiling in there plaster was hanging off.
I liked how spacious the room was and the staff at breakfast were particularly helpful and friendly. The hotel has faded charm.
The fact we could only have one key card even though we paid a deposit for that one wd couldn't pay two deposits! It meant my slightly more party minded husband had to wake me up to get into the room.
Very convenient position for our needs. Clean and tidy once inside
General exterior needs updating and tidying.
A very good hotel, I recomend it
Friendly staff Great location Very clean room
Breakfast vastly over-priced. £10 for one tiny sausage, one small rasher of bacon, one egg and a spoonful of beans is a joke. Two Toby inns very close by which are far better value and quality.
Nothing only leaving
The Dining Menu was very poor it looked as though the items were from Iceland Frozen Foods or a takeaway down the road. Out of around 8 main meals the 2 we ordered were not available. We ordered starters from a limited choice and they never arrived? I asked for the wine list to be told "We don't have one" you can only have house wine? This is NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FOR A CHARGE OF £72.00 per night Far better value at a Premier Inn
Comfortable room and en suite. My room was easily accessible. Quiet in room, and got sound sleep. Breakfast room was pleasant in itself, with nice outlook. Location was good for me given that I have nearby relatives. Price was good and I would come again.
There was a bit of an air of gentile shabbiness, and facilities (room and bathroom) were ready for updating. Staff were very pleasant, but seemed a little thin on the ground, so there was room for a bit more pin-sharpness.
Clean bed linen Free upgrade to superior room Lift Friendly staff
room in annex was very tardy, thin walls so noisy, could hear everything from next door!! Dirty towel Parts of hotel look run down Over priced
no drawer space broken sink plug and the exterior of the annex resembles a ymca hostel nothing like the front lawns in the old manor area pictures on the website
Nothing springs to mind
Felt conned after being charged £80 for a very poor hotel all round.
Staff good. Bedroom clean. Good wifi. Good shower.
The hotel needs some TLC in the form of maintenance and updating. The bedroom door had come away from its hinges and there was plaster dust on the floor nearby. The outside is shabby and in need of at least a lick of paint.
