The Brook Hotel Norwich  

The food served in the bar was excellent & the staff through out where brilliant, very helpful. I would definatley recommend this hotel!

The staff were friendly. Breakfast excellent. Price was good. Location was good for us as we were attending a nearby wedding.

Heating wasn't working which was not too bad but on a colder day it would have been an issue

reception area very nice, although rooms very clean, and maid daily, could do with somethings updating, heating didnt work, but was sorted by staff as soon as brought to there attention. we booked as a family, but rooms not together, but not too much of a hassle

Price and location were good for proximity to the Norfolk and Norwich hospital. Breakfast waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Free wifi was very useful. Late checkout, and we were allowed to use the wifi in the foyer after checkout. Breakfast cooked to order.

Room decor was tired and in need of refurbishment, especially the bathroom which was very old fashioned and shabby. Reception was understaffed on check in and check out. Breakfast was not buffet style. Tea was poured from a big pot by the waitress which was very unusual, and took no account of individual taste (I prefer weak tea). However, the waitress was quick to offer more tea.

Poor housekeeping. The rooms were a little tired and I am aware that this is being rectified but more could be done to keep the rooms clean.

The hotel is getting to the stage when refurbishment is required. Dust and dirt were found on tops of pipework in the bathroom.

The internet was not available for the three days that we stayed, the receptionist failed to pass on messages from my Sister-in-Law and put through phone calls on all three days. As a visitor from Australia, this is not acceptable as the calls could well have been important. Would it be possible to offer small pots of Tea and Coffee with breakfast, so that the waitresses do not have to put one of the large pots down on the carpet as they serve from the other.

The Hotal as always was excellent

The staff at this hotel were all very friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was located near to a park and ride for convenience of getting into Norwich.

When we arrived on a very cold day the heating had not been on in our room so it was freezing, and took a long time to warm up! The wifi was not working for over 50% of our stay which is strange as they seem to be marketing themselves as a business venue. When I enquired about it at reception I was told "no, sorry, it's not working, I don't know why" which wasn't terribly helpful! The quality of the food was poor - we chose a chilli con carne and a curry from the bar menu and were very disappointed with both dishes. On the first morning there were no baked beans for the cooked breakfast, and on the second morning the bacon and sausages were rather undercooked. I would recommend eating out if you stay here!

Clean and comfortable bed. Free wi-fi. Location to the job we were working on.
