BEST WESTERN Brook Hotel  

I stayed at The Brook Hotel for three weeks while house hunting. In that time the staff made me feel very much at home and were very kind, helpful and friendly. They cared that I was happy there. I can't thank them enough. Having found a house nearby I now return weekly with friends for meals and drinks and would definitely recommend anyone to stay. June Bunn

Very good service, friendly and efficient staff. Room was clean and spacious and the food was very acceptable as well.

Location, easy access by car

Uncomfortable bed. Very shabby bathroom. Rusty bath, gloss paint had been applied badly to cover the rust. Mould around bath. Badly stained ceiling. Floor covering needs replacing.

The room was very basic and uncomfortable. The bathroom was very poor in poor state of repair with lots of mould and deep ingrained dirt

Beds could be more comfortable - room looked a bit in need of refurbishment - bathroom neede a make over

Clean, tidy, comfortable and reception staff were friendly.

NO-one on the bar. Only wanted a pint. Seemed to take forever. Then extra cold was, in my opinion, lukewarm.

I liked the fact that there was wi-fi in the room and no hassle to access it. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Food was fine - breakfast good. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Request responded to quickly.

Noise from several young men in adjoining room. Overlooked at breakfast by staff with the coffee and tea jugs. I was on my own and they concentrated on the couples and families. Ended up having to go and get my own. Not much on the restaurant menu for vegetarians. Prefer a shower cubicle to a bath.

Pleasant, comfortable.We had to overnight in Norwich because of an unexpected family member being hospitalized. It more than satisfied our needs. Staff were particularly pleasant especially young lady on reception.

bed was horrible conplained twice and were told i could move rooms and looked at new room bed was horrible too and breckfast was only hot on one morning worsed stay there yet as been going there since i had my wedding reception there in 1995 so very dissapointed

Bathroom tired.

Car park right outside. Made very welcome. Room had all we wanted. Breakfast excellent.

the bed was like a hospital bed with a plastic shhet under the bottom sheet and so made you sweat and was uncomfortable

Staff on Reception were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. On first impression when arriving at the hotel I was quite impressed. The décor and furniture looked quite classy.

Checked in at 3pm, had a few cups of tea and coffee while I read a book and watched some tv, checked out again at 10pm when I realised how revolting the bathroom was. Room was very worn with paint peeling from the walls. Didn't smell particularly nice either. When I opened the windows I saw just how dirty and dated they were. Stains on the carpet and chair and what was that 'out of place' brown valence doing on the bed other than covering up the base and whatever was living underneath it. To be honest, I daren't look. The bathroom was an absolute disgrace. As mentioned on my questionnaire left in the room. The awful foisty, damp smell was unbearable. There were 'hairs' in the bath and revolting, rusty plughole. Dirt marks around the bath and handles where it hadn't been cleaned properly for some time. Black damp patches on the ceiling. Paint peeling from the inner side of the door. The fan was blocked with dirt and the toilet looked as though it was stained with urine!! I do have photographic evidence of all of the above.

Room was bright and clean linen was fresh ,everything work well
