Old and dated hotel,needs refurbishment.
The location and price range
The hot water for breakfast coffee. The wind noise thro the windows.
The view was fantastic very clean
The noise from the room next door. Ok if you were In to porn Chanel's so I guess would suite some. 2.30 am and they were still making a noise
The views are wonderful if you request sea facing room, the best free parking great location
hotel itself is very shabby no fresh fruit on offer at breakfast decor faded and dated and quite depressing
Rooms clean Sea view
After trying three rooms, I was provided with a refund and the staff were very apologetic.
The rooms very very poor, curtains disgraceful in 2 of the 3 rooms that I viewed. Walls where beds were against them were very dirty. Chairs in rooms and furniture very tatty. Generally this was a very poor hotel in comparison with others in the same price bracket. The website did NOT reflect the poor quality of the rooms.
Room was clean and tidy. Staff members were polite and friendly. Location is really nice.
Food served in the bar was of a lesser standard than expected. Just warm and very bland.
Good spot and views
Wi fi was not free and tv channels were poor could at least have all freeview channels
We have returned to the hotel a number of times because we think it is very convenient, has free parking, is very comfortable, has very flexible and friendly staff and is reasonably priced. What more can you ask for!
Great location and views. Good parking. Plenty of fresh food for breakfast.
You have an amazing location so why is the building in such a state?
Good sized room which was clean and good views.
Breakfast was poor - coffee from a sachet, little to choose from on cooked breakfast, fruit and yoghurts looked cheaper types (and not much variety).
Great views of the sea and Sound.
The bar was noisy, tv on all the time. Breakfast needs improvement. It was scant and dried up
Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean. Great location.
It was very tired. In need of a refresh. Small room, could do with more bedding. Breakfast was a bit of a let down on the cooked food, a little over done and greasy, not great quality. Cold breakfast fine.
The location is very good, The seaview is marvelous, both in the room and in the beakfast room. The parking is excellant. It is good having free wifi. The shower was very good. The bed was comfortable and the tea facilities appreciated
The decor on the stairs was a bit dated, though it didn't bother me in the least
The view from our window was excellent, the layout of the room very useable.
Very little food available at the bar. Room very tatty, it had been plush at one time , but was dated and sad now. T.V was hard to watch in comfort could have done with being a plasma slim line one, and wall mounted.
The location was superb and ideally placed for sightseeing
The windows rattled and whistled with the wind at night. The evening meal choice was poor so we ate out.
Good welcome from check in staff and room clean. Good value.
TV awful. Bathroom very dated with leaky shower. Pillows uncomfortable.
Stunning view from room, very close to union street and town, amazingly cheap! Very friendly staff, the receptionist allowed us to check out an hour later for free, cosy bed, very quiet, free car parking, nice and warm for a cold winters night on the sea front, overall excellent hotel would certainly stay again next time I'm in Plymouth!
Wifi was really slow, it was ok for checking social networks and mail but not for watching videos, 4od for example would not load, the tv only had 6 channels (1 to 5 then I'm not sure even what 6 was!) but Plymouth has so much to offer it didnt really matter about either and both tv and wifi were free anyway so no loss. The room was a little worn out and shabby, but was very clean and comfy all the same.
Friendly staff, reasonable cooked breakfast. Room was clean. Couldn't get Wifi to work.
Very old and worn out furniture and carpets. Antiquated TV.
The sea views are fantastic and although basic the rooms are clean and dry
The hotel is showing signs of age and could do with bringing up to date.
Wonderful situation - good value for money if a little tired.
No room service and no food available despite listing it as being available until 10:30pm, at 9:30pm I was told no food. Single bed.
location, free parking, and price.
poor decor in the room, no evening meal offered, telephone in room did not work, TV had only 7 channels, and the bed was old and not very comfy.
Location, car parking, friendly staff.
Tired looking in all areas.
