The view from the room was great looking out to the sea. The location was good for the city centre and the parking was easy. We were on the 8th floor and the window seals were in need of replacement with water leaking through and could hear the wind whistling through the night. The room was in need of refurbishment and a couple of coats of paint. The self serve breakfast was not very good and when i was getting my breakfast on the last morning a fresh dish of scrambled eggs came out and it was cold. it did appear that the food had been cooked well in advance.. also when we arrived we were informed that the Restaraunt was closed on the Saturday night due to a wedding being on. It would have been nice to have been informed of this prior to attending as my intentions were to eat in on this night rather than having to go out in the rain to get food. |

the hotel room was spottlessly clean and the hotel staff were polite and pleasant. the location was very good and the deal that we got was good value thank you very much.for a good stay. Although the room furniture was a little 'dated, well used' this did not matter because the rooms were clean and actually we did not pay 4/5 star rates. |

The view was superb. Hotel needed a little TLC but the bed linen was clean and the bed very comfortable. Just needed a little tidying up. Hotel is tired. |

Helpful staff, cleanliness and proximity to town and theatre scruffy around the edges - peeling wallpaper, chipped funiture, howing gale through windows - but spotlessly clean |

The position was just right for our needs and there was plenty of room in the car park. I have a disabled blue badge but noted that the disabled parking spots were taken by cars shiowing no badge. I appreciate that we were staying when the wind was almost gale force. There was a cold draft through the window and the wind came in to the room making a noise that an Irish friend of ours called the whaling banshees. |

good parking facilities dissapointed with breakfast. All help yourself on warm hot plate, and would have liked a fresh pot of tea, rather than a tea bag and hot water. |

The location and the view of the Hoe. We enjoyed watching the navy moving boats in and out of the harbour and the ferries. The menu in the restaurant did not change during our stay. Cold plates at breakfast mean the food gets cold quickly. |

Hello, We liked the relaxed atmosphere, enjoying the panoramic view from our window and watching the movement of all types of shipping out in the approaches. In the morning after a good nights sleep,we saw the ferry we were catching come into dock, went to the restaurant and had a superb breakfast and returned our key to reception and left. We will stay there again.Thank you. This is an hotel second to none. |

The location was ideal. The breakfast was fine and the room was acceptable. The suit was not really "executive" and we got an "upgrade" to "executive" but had already paid for it so hardly an upgrade. |

As always the stunning views from huge windows. Reception staff are efficient enough but just don't have that extra something in their attitude which makes guests feel welcome. |

We wanted a hotel with a view and we certainly got it!! Breakfast overlooking the Sound was perfect. Our room felt as though it could have done with a thorough clean. The bathroom was also below par - damp smells throughout the day. |
