calm and relaxing ,nice to discover some where not owned by large company, and it showed.
we had to leave after one nite. wanted to stay longer.
We liked the welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff. The hotel was warm and comfortable and bright. The breakfast was excellent. The price was extremely reasonable and we'd definitely visit again.
While the bath was great. the shower didn't work, as the button was 'stuck'. The bathroom ceiling needs painting, and the bathroom tiles need a good wash down.
Sauna in with price so great nice staff breakfast inclueded in stay
Only thing was cleaner came in room did not knock then left door open b4 time to leave but I told reception said would give my feedback but all good except that
good value clean staff pleasant good car parking space room very quiet
nothing negative to say, pleasant stay
this is a lovely hotel. friendly staff. will be staying again.
was told room had bath but only shower. (on booking.com)
We stayed in room 124, it was large with a very comfortable sofa and views over the garden. Some staff were very helpful. This hotel is so close to being very good but let down by easily remedied things.
The bed is appalling, this must be one of the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on the mattress is shocking the pillows like breeze blocks, my wife suggested we sleep on the sofa, it really is that bad. Some staff were utterly useless, had to wait ages for special order breakfast items on second morning of our 3 night stay, 3rd morning thought we were in a different hotel staff were spot on breakfast very good. Service was far better when more quests having breakfast. Another weird thing was room had been partially refurbished but bathroom hadn't!!. Wardrobe is useless,no lighting anywhere near and doors that are almost impossible to use.
Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The restaurant menu was interesting and dishes were prepared on site not bought in and were reasonably priced. Breakfast buffet covered everyone's tastes and was most enjoyable
If I was being picky the room was too hot and the duvets were on the thin side I would have liked the option of an extra blanket just for the weight factor.
Stayed here for one night and thought it was brillant for the price. Would definatly stay again
Nothing bad about it.
Comfortable rooms in a beautiful woodland setting, very close to town. Helpful staff and an excellent breakfast.
Shower rooms could be more user friendly, somewhere to put the soap or hang a towel closer to the shower.
Not being in a homogenized chain.
Housekeeping needs to pay more attention to the small details: dust on pictures, squeaking and dusty bathroom fan.
I found everything to my satisfaction. The food was very good, particularly the breakfast. I used to live nearby years ago and it was interesting to see how things have changed, not always for the better.
We stayed there for a engagement party . It's such a lovely place with great gardens and facilities The breakfast is immense
Only the Shower in my Room Leaking
The bathroom looked quite old and uninviting
Service in the restaurant very slow
The yeating in our room did not work
I have stayed and reviewed this establishment before, It just seems to get better every time l stay here. Staff as always 100% nothing to much truble, food excellent particularly the brakfast.Bedrooms very comfortable and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, iron, iron board, trouser press and hair dryer. In my opinion having stayed in most of the hotels in Reddich is the best all round.
Having to leave wishing l could have stayed longer. l will be back.
Quiet and secluded, yet 5 mins from motorway. Good restaurant, good breakfast. Well appointed and comfortable room. Free wifi in room.
Excellent price with breakfast
Shower lacked a bit of power but adequate.
second one night stay here for work, warm friendly and good food, lovely grounds
bed was a bit lumpy, springs apparent
Idea spot, easy to find. Great to use if you are using as a base to go to Stratford upon Avon or surrounding areas. Price including breakfast was very good. Breakfast was very good and set you up for the day.
Room was a bit tired with a draw missing and the bathroom needs doing as well. The room was very clean though can not fault the cleanness at all.
Wonderfully spacious comfortable sleigh bed. Loved the room and ensuite - both very clean. Lovely quiet location. Loads of staff on duty at breakfast. Only 3 stars - but it all felt very luxurious. Very handy for onward travel and also just minutes from family.
Only 1 glass supplied in the bedroom. Shower screen leaked badly - seemingly an ongoing problem as the bathroom door was binding on the swollen floor. Lawns had not been cleaned up after an apparent sewer crisis.... lingering smell of drains across the garden.
Very welcoming staff. Excellent value for money. Quiet location yet easy access to Redditch centre and surrounding countryside.
The mattress was very soft, but the staff were very helpful and changed it for me with no hesitation.
We had booked a room at this hotel to attend a friends wedding. On arrival, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We found our room really comfortable and very clean. The wedding itself was well organised and again the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious, plentyful and very tasty. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here at the Southcrest, and the wedding was superb. Would definitely recommend.
We had room 247,(in the extention) which was clean and comfortable, But we felt very exposed as we were overlooking the car park, and although it was fairly quiet, the large window gave no privacy, and we ended up keeping the curtains closed when we were in the room, which then left us feeling closed in. Some net curtains or blinds up at the window would of made our experience much more enjoyable.
