I stayed over night for a wedding venue. I arrived early on the morning, and was greeted by very friendly staff, from the reception, catherine, and all the staff. My room was beauitiful, very clean. I had a wonderful time, the food was wonderful, also the surroundings.I Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. A 5 star in the making!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our needs and the gardens lovely. The breakfasts were excellent. The only thing we found to be lacking was information about the Hotel services in the room, there was nothing giving mealtimes and we did not realize that the hotel had a gym until the day before we were leaving, which would have been of great interest to us.

Location- away from the main roads and in a quiet location. Wi-fi available throughout the hotel- useful for those staying on business. The receptionist, Julie, was wonderful- sorted things out and was very efficient. Only let down as nobody else seemed to have the same interest in the hotel, which showed. Restaurant food was bland, and things weren't available e g custard with the dessert, as the chef hadn't had time to make any! Breakfast is a sad affair- few cereals, no fruit, no yoghurts. Bread used for toast is cheap and tastes like it.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel advertises itself as 'dog friendly' and it really is. The location is good for dog owners too as the hotel is surrounded by woods. The food in the restaurant was nice and the vegetables seemed fresh rather than frozen. The furnishings and fittings definitely need an update

The hotel is set in its own grounds, the setting was very picturesque. The bedrooms where comfortable and clean. The reception staff where very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast's were good and plentiful. When they had other functions on at the Southcrest, I felt that they had difficulty coping and appeared to be short staffed. The ordinary guest was pushed to one side in favour of the groups who attended the functions. We was left waiting at the bar whilst the bar maid served guests from a wedding, who came to the bar after us and was served first. In my opinion they seemed to get priority over the ordinary guest. We was also asked to move our car which we had parked in the disabled parking space, even though we had our blue badge in, due to a wedding and the bride didn't want a car obstructing the function room window. The space wasn't obstructing the window or blocked off like the other spaces. The times for dinner didn't correspond with what we was informed at check in and we were informed that we where too early for dinner we arrived at 6.45pm and dinner wasn't served until 7pm. We had been informed that dinner was from 6pm.On the first morning we had to ask for glasses, fruit juice and glasses to be restocked/filled and on the third morning we had to wait 3/4 hour for our cooked breakfast.

Promptly organised a taxi for me when I asked Shocked that any hotel does not have wireless Internet available, as an overseas traveler I felt very disconnected. There was a wedding on the day I arrived- no parking/took ages to check in/ no remote control for the tv in my room & I was told as the hotel was full for the wedding I could not have a remote until he next day as there was no spares (minor I know but just another example oh how the wedding party was the 1st priority of the staff and not a normal customer like me) The soap dispenser in the bath was empty

Friendly staff The breakfast was dissapointing. The bacon was cooked in fat which was black and looked horrible and the fat was running on the plate. There were no pots of jam available and the toast was not "browned". Get the breakfast right and I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very clean, the food was very good & the staff very helpfull with a cheerfull attertude. I would say slightly under staffed at busy times. Ie,breakfast for 40 quests & only 2 serving & making tables ready. But considering the age of the staff on the weekend we stayed I think they did a first class job while also having to deal with wedding guests. We have now stayed twice & would have no problems returning. The only non important comment I would make is that the tv signal quality in the room was terrible you could only watch 2 channels

The rooms smelt dreadfully of smoke please anyone with Asthma do not stay there!........The curtains had black mould on them. The waiting staff althoug pleasant forgot half of the things for the table and had to be reminded. Several times. We arrived separately and were given two different rooms after a lengthy wait only finding each other an hour later. Rubbish outside the windows blowing about.

Quiet and peaceful On leaving the hotel on Sunday 24th July and settling our bill, we noticed that we had been charged for food and drinks (2 items) used on the Friday night 22/07/11 that were not ours. The receptionist checked and there was no signature on the tab. We did state that we did have a drink when we got back late pm and I did sign that tab for £7.70 Please can the staff ensure that they get signatures for everything as I did pay for one item which was not ours (receptionist was told but still left it on) - and I did not notice it was still there on the amended bill.

The staff at reception. Tea and coffee in bedroom and hairdryer. size of the room. the bathroom was disgusting. Mould on the shower curtain, on the grouting of the bath, box around the toilet made of ply wood rotten by urine smelling strongly. The windows were dirty inside the double glazing (defect) and looked disgusting giving a very grim feeling to the room. Ridiculous access to our bedroom by long corridors and stairs making it difficult to manage with luggages.

Lovely part of the country; the Manor House itself looked fabulous (didn't see much of it as off-limits due to a weekend wedding underway in all of the reception rooms/dining room!) but the bedrooms are unfortunately tired and run down in a separate ugly block tacked onto the side of the main house. The plumbing is in dire need of attention - after showering, our taps wouldn't turn off and the bath threatened to over-run until we managed to bash the shower switch down. Had to use another room's facilities for my partner to shower, when exactly the same thing happened there. Unsatisfactory. Also wasn't pleased that we hadn't been forewarned of the hotel's booking of a wedding that weekend - half of the hotel was off limits, no dining faciilties etc and the noise from the party's guests was troublesome until the early hours. A complaint to the receptionist and promised response from the hotel manager has been so far unforthcoming (3 days after departure).

“The Holiday Inn Redditch is very centrally situated for the town and also for visiting our relatives. We liked the fact that it's modern, clean and friendly. In particular, the male French receptionist was very professional but friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. He was also very helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. Thanks to him, our first impression of the hotel was excellent and that good impression lasted throughout our stay. Our stay included an excellent breakfast. All in all, we had superb value for money.” Helen, Llandudno Junction |
