Old part of hotel much better than modern wing
Plumbing not great
Diff to flush toilet Cars righ outside my window
The location was good, easy to find (without sat nav!) very quiet room (116) even though there was a wedding evening do!
Nothing to complain about
Very quite location had a lovely conservatory overlooking a large garden with good food in the restaurant bedroom was comfortable good choice if food for breakfast
every thing nice place staff friendly meals excellent value for money great
the only fault i had was the mattress on my bed not the best a bit passed its sell by date but would not put me of staying there again .
Friendly Staff. Great service. Clean, comfortable room. Lovely grounds.Great value for money. Breakfast choice good. Dinner food excellent.
Very friendly staff, lovely setting, good value
Our room was very dated, facelift required, while other rooms were very good, most likely a work in progress
the out door area was wonderful, over looking fantastic gardens. The bar food was excellent and reasonably priced (as was drinks) The atmosphere of the place and the reception and bar. The staff, helpful and friendly. Room large and comfortable, good bed.
The bathroom was a bit dated and needed some TLC. breakfast was a bit pricey too.
Superking size bed
Had to go down (and subsequently up) 66 stairs to get to the room which was at the very far end of the building. Main door was locked when we came back from a function around 01.00. There is a nightbell which we kept ringing and no-one was answering and there is also a night mob number which we kept dialing but no-one was answering. Had to wait for about 7min before someone finally opened the door.
The dinner was very tasty and good value for money. Service was also good at dinner.
The room was too hot and there was no aircon. If I had been there in hotter weather I would not have enjoyed it at all. The light in the room was poor. The main light was on a side wall - bizarre, and it gave out very limited light. Had all lights on and still felt the room was too dark (and my eye sight is normal!)
Indifferent bar food
That we could eat in the conservatory with Harley
Nothing the hotel was great value for money
views and food
The net curtains were filthy dirty very off putting when you drive into the car park Far too many dogs at any one time, walking along the corridor you could smell 'dogs' Would not like to hold a wedding despite the pretty surroundings and excellent food
The garden, the staff .
My daughters bed was broken so uncomfy
Breakfast was excellent, friendly bar and reception staff. Grounds at the back pleasant. Just what we needed for a one night stopover . Loved the curtains and runner on the bed in bedroom! Clean bathroom.
First impression outside wasn't good, (attachment building to the right) looked like army barracks, dated rooms and dusty lampshades, needs decorating in places. Staff a bit thin on the ground in restaurant, waited quite a while as they were very busy. Reception desk very high! Had trouble signing stuff as only 5ft!!!!
Hotel was very good in all departments
Baths were very deep and not for older persons
Beautiful gardens Large room
Public areas Restaurant staff Bar staff Food Grounds/Location
Room especially bathroom wasn't clean Lights not working Room too warm
Reception staff Reception area
Corridors were dated and in need of decoration. Room was dated and in need of decoration. Wallpaper peeling off wall in room. Carpets more in corridor but also in room were of 1980's standing and were bunched up in places and joints were lifting. Mattress was a waste of space. It was like sleeping on a solid board.. TV signal was poor and you couldn't watch it without the sound or the picture going due to no signal. Bathroom in places had small amounts of mould around the shower and the quality of workmanship was poor
Unfortuently breakfast was a bit chaotic as the hotel was heavily booked and we had to wait for a table, a high chair, crockery and food to be cooked and replenished at the buffet. It could have been much slicker!
Receptionist, Ruby was very helpful. Comfy bed, good breakfast.
Room was tired and dated, glass in window completely misted up, needs replacing. Room not as clean as it could be. Only 1 set of towels but 2 occupants.
Great hotel room in attractive surroundings suitable for dog-walks. Although near to Birmingham, it was very convenient for Stratford and Warwick too. Just right position.
Room and bathroom much too hot and boiler room and pump were noisy from outside the room. Also some staff never acknowledged our presence as we passed the desk!
Situated close to where we were visiting
Location Room was very good Cleanliness
the shower had absolutely no power - definite maintenance needed on it
staff,locationand restaurant was very good.
rooms looked very tired and run down.
