the hotel was ideal for returning to Catterick on a memory lane trip It was very bland ,could do with bigger art work to fill the walls although the firniture was excellent.Otherwise it was good-except for the squeeky floorboards!!! |

The convenience of the location, it is ideal for an overnight stop on the way to the Lake District There was a very large cumbersome TV on a stand which made it awkward for passing, this could easily have been put onto the dressing table or better still a flat screen fitted on the all. |

The peace and quiet of the rooms; we appreciated the fact that we were not desturbed by other people's showers, toilet flushing and door banging that so often interrupts a good nights rest. The difficulty in ordering gluten free meals in the restaurant and bar. |

Good value for money It is such a pity that such a great Art Deco building, although modenised, is devoid of any decoration such as paintings or flowers to make it memorable and give it a sense of individual charactor. Its an empty shell that could be vastly improved with a lot of imagination and little cost. |

The quality and presentation of the food was excellent. The decor was too plain (mainly white) throughout and many of the walls lacked pictures or photographs. |

The hotel was close to where we wanted to visit and was available at a moments notice. The creaking floors in the hotel in the hotel were awful. You could not walk on the floors without making a noise and you could hear the ocupants above you. The restaurant was more akin to a cafe rather than a restaurant. However the evening meal was very good but the waiting staff were under too much pressure due to the lack of numbers. |

Clean and comfortable hotel used a lot for informal meetings. Leasiure centre facilities good and very good value at £54 for DBB The staff although pleasent gave the impression they were chasing their tail and overstreched. Food was ODD - flavoursome but risotto was more a mixture of cooked rice and cooked duck and steak had an almost braised texture. Breakfast looked a bit tired as though it had been topped up a few too many times. |

The reception staff at check in are very polite and welcoming. and the entrance hall is very well presented. some of the staff are a bit on the miserable side and the cheap std single rooms are very basic and in need of refurbishment, plus the TV picture quality is very poor. could be improved. |

The freindliness of the staff and the breakfast is sublime The kettle sitting in the drawer still had water and it was quite dusty. There was also no shower gel nor hand washing liquid in our room. With the swine flu pandemic, alcohol gel should be made available and a box of facial tissues in the rooms. |

Impressive building, nice decor. I had booked an executive double room but it was tiny and certainly not worth the £90 I had paid. The shower was dreaadful as the water pressure was so low you needed to run around to get wet. |

The only good thing was the breakfast. Dirty room, lights not working, loo set broken, nothing mended despite 2 night stay.Very soft beds and you did not want to examine closely. |

Lovely large rooms and ensuite - for the double room we booked. Bed was comfortable, the hotel environment was good. basic stuff like bin in the room missing, no telephone, absence of chair - all of which remedied when asked for - but really should not have to.The hotel is located literally on the roundabout of a busy route and you can hear truck traffic almost throughout the night. |

It's location is ideal for working or visiting the area. It is an old looking building but has a modern, friendly and welcoming atmosphere inside. |
