Excellent service. Comfort of the room. Great breakfast and dinner.
Going out of the building in the pouring rain to the leisure centre .
Staff, room and facilities
We liked the hotel very much. It is well positioned for travellers so not difficult to find. Our room was lovely and quiet and there was plenty of space. The restaurant had a good menu to suit all tastes.
Both evenings, when we had even booked for dinner in the restaurant, the service was very poor because the staff were overworked. Dinner took over two hours on the first night but the food was excellent when it eventually came.
the food was good and the rooms and the staff and the hotel was spotless
Location Staff in the bar very friendly and helpful
Clear glass in bathroom door gave little dignity. Bed had a very soft mattress that tipped you into the middle. It was not comfy at all.
What a great place .Had a lovely chilled night .Breakfast great
Convenient and Luxurious great value for the money.
Being there on Business
clean convenient reasonably priced
photo of the room I booked showed twin beds but we got 1 (small) queen sized bed. It was too small.
access to area. Food was nice. A nice welcome from reception. Staff polite.
noise...rooms have paper thin walls and so friday nights you can guarantee no sleep until late and an early wake up call if children in next room (these were executive rooms) your bedroom key can be wiped blank if put next to an electronic device (phone etc) so you have to go down and get it re swiped. Only one towel in bathroom..even though two of us staying. VEry poor staffing in dining room...far from full (just 5 tables) yet we walked out before our dessert arrived (35 minutes and still not arrived). Bathrobes were old and pretty ropey
Overall a good night but noisy due to a wedding party mybe should of been put in a room further away thanks
The rooms were nice and warm while being spacious aswell.
King size bed
We were a bit late for breakfast so not quite so much of a selection available
We only stayed here to break up our journey to Scotland. We wanted an inexpensive room for the night, so we didn't expect to have the luxury that this hotel offered! The staff were all great, the room was really lovely, we had a very nice meal in the restaurant, and a GREAT sleep before heading off early the next morning.
We liked the pool and sauna etc
The Italian restaurant was excellent.
I was travelling with my sister and we both enjoyed the ambience and friendliness of the staff......the breakfast buffet was excellent and we appreciated the quality of the bathroom products. We had single beds and we both agreed how comfortable they were.
Obviously it is Autumn and the spiders were having a field day....let me hasten to add we never saw one, but the cobwebs that appeared over night showed they had been industrious.....but I must clarify that by saying the executive suite was immaculate.Would have appreciated a shower mat and grab handles for safety
Lovely room, huge comfy bed, spotlessly clean. The hotel was so airy and clean, lovely wide corridors in all the public areas. Relaxing bar area. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
without exception the staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful
notthing in particular!
Italian Restaurant & adjacent leisure facilities
Allocated room was above a function suite with a Freddie Mercury Tribute. Asked to change room due to the noise level. At first refused, but later 'found' an alternative room. If booking again, would insist on a room away from function suites!!
Very hard to beat, we were travelling South on the A1. In spite of a large party in the hotel the room was very good and comfortable. Fratello's restaurant was good too. Very convenient for the A1.
We stayed in a disability access room, I'm not sure whether it was my booking error, so there was a green ceiling light on all night, also a smell of cigarette smoke.
The staff The decor The food And the hotel, very nice.
Would like bigger pillow. And having to leave to come home, we shall be back
Good welcome and excellent breakfast! Would stay again and recommend to friends.
Nothing to not like!
Clean, efficient, good red wine and supper
Would be good to allow a dog please
The accommodation was easy to book & our special requirements were met (slight mobility problem). We were very tired after a long day & were very pleased to have room service for dinner. Also extra feather pillows were provided on request.
Toiletries provided were disappointing - skin lotion would have been good. Also not enough teabags - only 2 available.
Location, standard of the room, layout of the hotel, breakfast.
