For me the location was most important, however I found the hotel to be very clean modern,staff very courtious and friendly I think due to the newness of everything it appeared a little clinical

Have stayed before at this Hotel, its a good stop over on route to Hull to catch a Ferry. When I booked I was unaware of the massive re- furb.that had taken place. Its is great to see an original Art Deco hotel brought back to life, in a very sensitive but modern way. Well done Holiday Inn. At time of stay, the Italian Restaurant was not open. The dinner choice was rather pedestrian but I look forward to seeing the real menu next time.

I was a newly furnished hotel which was great we paid extra for a superior room and it was well worth it the room was massive! The breakfast was excellent. The staff were more than helpfull. Pity we didnt have time to use the pool as we were visiting family. Defiently stay there again!

I was married at the hotel 32 years ago and as my family are close by we stay a few times a year. it is better again since holiday inn took over Friendley staff and very clean

Convenient for our purpose in attending Royal Artillery Ball.Comfort and good service at an excellent price. Much improved facilities following re-furbishment. Our room was at the front of the building and the traffic was quite noisy in spite of the double glazing, (I am, however, a light sleeper). Would ask for a room at the other side next time I book a stay.

Stayed on the first night of our honeymoon 40 years ago before going to London so this time we stayed to celebrate Ruby wedding with family before going off to London. The Hotel newly refurbished and the staff very friendly.

The feel of the hotel was really nice, the children and ourselves enjoyed a swim, it was nice that the rooms were next to each other, the staff were helpful and prompt with the room service. Our rooms (129 & 130) were not sign posted so we had some bother trying to find them, there was no lift to the rooms so we had to carry the luggage up to the room, the 'free wifi' was totally intermittent so was very disappointed with that as that was one of the reasons we choose the hotel in the first place and the swimming pool was outside of the hotel so the children had to go into the rain to get back to the hotel after they had been swimming. Also there was some electrical fault outside the hotel in the night so the noise in our room was horrific and the children were kept awake until 1.30am because of the electrics going on and off in the rooms, I felt an apology would have been appropriate but it was not forthcoming.
