Clean and comfortable hotel used a lot for informal meetings. Leasiure centre facilities good and very good value at £54 for DBB The staff although pleasent gave the impression they were chasing their tail and overstreched. Food was ODD - flavoursome but risotto was more a mixture of cooked rice and cooked duck and steak had an almost braised texture. Breakfast looked a bit tired as though it had been topped up a few too many times. |

The reception staff at check in are very polite and welcoming. and the entrance hall is very well presented. some of the staff are a bit on the miserable side and the cheap std single rooms are very basic and in need of refurbishment, plus the TV picture quality is very poor. could be improved. |

The freindliness of the staff and the breakfast is sublime The kettle sitting in the drawer still had water and it was quite dusty. There was also no shower gel nor hand washing liquid in our room. With the swine flu pandemic, alcohol gel should be made available and a box of facial tissues in the rooms. |

Impressive building, nice decor. I had booked an executive double room but it was tiny and certainly not worth the £90 I had paid. The shower was dreaadful as the water pressure was so low you needed to run around to get wet. |

almost all of it yes, really, the bar staff had no idea how to pour a pint, they had no idea on the pump usaga i.e the lager was running out ,the froth was overflowing.yet still tried to offer us a pint that was flat, half filled.so we had to go out to another pub for a drink.. thats the only complaint we have.. |

The only good thing was the breakfast. Dirty room, lights not working, loo set broken, nothing mended despite 2 night stay.Very soft beds and you did not want to examine closely. |

Lovely large rooms and ensuite - for the double room we booked. Bed was comfortable, the hotel environment was good. basic stuff like bin in the room missing, no telephone, absence of chair - all of which remedied when asked for - but really should not have to.The hotel is located literally on the roundabout of a busy route and you can hear truck traffic almost throughout the night. |

It's location is ideal for working or visiting the area. It is an old looking building but has a modern, friendly and welcoming atmosphere inside. |

The hotel is in an excellent location, very easy to get to and from the a1. Although the breakfast was buffet style (not freshly cooked) the was no shortage of food. There was a good supply of hot water in the room. Free internet - not common in hotels but a definate plus point for me. There was some confusion as to whether or not it was free in the bedrooms, I tried it and it was, maybe all the staff could be told and the literature left in the bedrooms updated. The lounge area appeared pretty stark. Basically the outside and inside of the hotel didn't seem to match; outside the hotel seems to say 'old fashioned luxury' inside it is brightly lit and almost antiseptic. The room was small; a large tv almost blocked the bathroom door and a floor standing lamp made getting around the bed an 'interesting' experience in the dark! |

Room clean Room noisy, close to lift & extremely creaky floorboards above & in room meant sleeping difficult late at night or early morning. Limited choice at breakfast compared with other hotels I have stayed in. |

The room was large and the bed and food good. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were insufficient numbers of staff on in the bar and restaurant especially on Saturday evening when the hotel was busy because of a race at Catterick Garrison the following day. This resulted in longer waits for drinks especially |

Turning up to find out that they had not recieved confirmation of my booking and being told there were no rooms available. Bar and restaurant were badly understaffed and waiting at bar for ten minutes to be served. |

On the banks of the River Tees, this lovely 16th century coaching inn has a restaurant overlooking the water and 36 bedrooms, many with stunning views of the river and the gardens. |
Located in the picturesque hamlet of Greta Bridge, this traditional and peaceful hotel is in a beautiful location close to the Tees Valley and Yorkshire Dales. |
