Didn't choose specifically as attended for a wedding. Small things are the ones you notice and I was really happy to see good size mugs as part of the tea/coffee facilities in the room, quite often they are small cups which are no use!

As we had to leave early on the morning of our departure, we asked if we could have a continental breakfast prepared for us, not only did the hotel staff comply with our wishes, but even made my Son a cooked breakfast. The restaurant member of staff was extremely pleasant, he couldn't have been more helpful.

Lovely clean spacious room and ensuite. Landline telephone in our room. We were able to use our British phone card and phone home to New Zealand (in the privacy of our room) very cheaply without incurring any costs at the hotel.

It was near our destination, a family wedding. I liked the ground floor room and the helpful staff. Narrow beds, it was a twin room but the beds were smaller than single!I would have liked a fridge and mini bar, although the hotel bar was easily accessible and open all the time. I would have liked a swimming pool too! The location was bizare, we travelled about 5 miles to get to a place 2 miles away, due to motorway location, but we found the rear entrance to the hotel but couldnt park, so did the long detour. The staff were helpful in printing out a map of the route.

Just off the M58, quiet and within easy reach of Manchester or Liverpool. Rooms were small but comfortable. A tribute band were playing the night I arrived but my room, although close to the bar, was quiet enough. I travel to watch Man Utd and would happily stay here again. No faults that I noticed.

Pleasant & helpful staff, well appointed & comfortable room. The bar meal was good value for money, however, I would have preferred to be able to sit at a table designed for eating purposes.

Nice room, comfortable bed, good shower. Well received upon checking in and was personally shown to my room. I was happy with everything in general aside from a couple of minor gripes about the service staff. A long wait for a drink at the bar - I had to go to reception to enquire. Breakfast service below par, you are left to select from the buffet without being asked regarding tea/coffee etc. Once asked, food arrived in a timely fashion, but the sausages were over cooked and the porridge was poor.

“We were staying at the hotel for a wedding and we thought that it was organized beautifully and the staff were very helpful in every way. Our room was fabulously comfortable and we didn't want to leave. The bar prices were very reasonable and very relaxing to sit in and watch the world go by. We will, without any hesitation, return to The Holland hall and we will be recommended it to family and friends. Thank you.” Linda, Leigh Road, Atherton |
