Room Size and cLeaniness
Can't really cmment since only stay 1 Night
Perfect location for my requirements. Instant access north, south, west and east. (The first 3 by M-way)
Staff allowed us a later check out, room service was prompt and efficient.
I know the hotel as I used to live nearby and came up for a funeral with members of my family and everything about the hotel was excellent as I expected. Difficult to pinpoint any likes as I can't think of anything not to like about the place. Will definitely use again hopefully not to attend another funeral.
Food quality not very good. Particularly buffet breakfast which was at best tepid but mainly cold.
Very close to motorway.
Limited choice on menu
Excellent location for my visit, very close to the motorway but also very quiet. The room was well appointed.
Whilst most aspects of the room were clean, there were hairs in the bath, toilet paper down the toilet that hadn't been flushed away, a screw on the bathroom floor and a small elastic band on the bedroom floor. I mentioned it at check out and was given a brief apology and the handyman was asked to check where the screw had come from. The curtains were very good quality but unfortunately covered the one radiator when drawn so the room became cold very quickly until I realised the problem. It was fine once I moved the curtains. The room had a connecting door to the next room, which was locked. However it meant there was no soundproofing and when my neighbour arrived home drunk at 2.20am I was woken by him trying to get into his room then could hear every noise. I was also entertained by his loud and lengthy rendition of 'I just called to say I love you' down the phone to someone he loves! I didn't sleep much after that.
Room entertainment staff friendliness except for late afternoon receptionist
Breakfast was poor - no butter bacon cold Sunday morning finished serving at 10am checkout also could be 12 on Sundays as do a lit if hotels late night celebration then up and out
Hotel clean. Food was very good
Bed was on the small side. Bedroom was quite warm even with the window open
Needed a bed, got it, slept, left. All ok.
Corridor smelt of chlorine from pool
Easy access from the motorway and great location for my business trip. My room was very comfortable and well presented.
Menu choice for dinner was a bit limited.
Friendly and helpful service. Relaxing. Food. Comfortable room.
Corridor light shining under gap of door and to clock light bright enough to light up the room. Had to put something over this.
Friendliness of staff Breakfast Good central location Good stylish building, not like these ones that look like flats.
A few loud neighbours coming to bed late after the Wedding reception that was on, but to be expected if booking while wedding guests are staying.
Good location Close to road networks, clean with helpful staff.
Bed was a uncomfortable. 2 singles pushed together to make a double.
The mix of modern and old buildings with a good quality well laid out modern interior. The room was a little spartan but clean and well laid out with a good shower, the staff were friendly and responsive to any questions. The menu and food in the restuarant were both good
The approach around a business estate was not attractive however the quality of the hotel made this a worthwhile compromise especially on a business trip.
I travel a lot on business and at the low price I paid for the room rate I did not expect such a high quality. The hotel is great in every respect.
Nothing - superb.
staff were very good - polite and helpful food was good great having free wifi
rooms and breakfast very good
location not the best , industrial estate
food in restaurant wasn't bad
noisy late at night due to a wedding - do not stay at weekend unless your room is not on a corridor near the bar - mine was on ground floor - people running up and down until gone 2am
On arrival at the hotel approx 4-45pm I was informed that there was a "maintenance" issue and there was no room available for me the lady in reception stated that she had been trying to contact me all day on my house phone clever that being as I was in Wigan all day not impressed at all.
Good value for money, clean, quiet with friendly staff.
Restaurant waitress was a little inexperienced.
Breakfast & Restaurant layout was good. I liked the layout of bar area offering some privacy.
The climb out of the bath was awkward. I think this was down to the extended shower panel making the exit narrow with wet feet. A handle on the wall would help. I'm a fit & flexible 50 years and thought it hazardous.
Location is excellent, very convenient for the motorways. Food was good but the menu could be updated more frequently as business travel and nothing else near by. Biscuits in the room :-)
Wifi was flakey and slow.
They had messed up my booking but when I mentioned this they moved me to a room which met my requirements. This was done with speed and graciousness .
The location is hard to find and looks a bit like you are in the middle of an industrial estate. However the hotels actual land is quiet and beautifully landscaped. It is also very convenient for the motorways, it is just a few minutes from the m6
