Just the breakfast, that was ok We were extremely disappointed with the Ramada in Kenilworth. Our bookings were made on January31 st 2009.We arrived at the hotel at 3pm after a long drive, and we were looking forward to a rest before our social event in the evening.Despite the fact that a rowdy party of 450 people was occurring below, we were given rooms 205 and 206 immediately above the banqueting hall, and the noise was appalling. We were given no warnings that there was a party booked that day. Our rooms were vibrating with the thunderous drum beat. After some 30 minutes I went down to the reception and requested a change of room. As it turned out it would have been better to have stayed put, as the party finished at 7 pm. The room we were put into next was even worse. It was right over the bar exit and we had no sleep, as guests were congregating below, shouting and laughing at 3 in the morning. Also the room was stiflingly hot and the windows were sealed so we could not open them. The hotel gave us compensation for our room, but not for my son, who went out during the afternoon to get away from the noise, and stayed in his original room, 206. the manager said that it was my son's fault for not reporting the noise! As it was no doubt heard by everyone in the hotel and its vicinity this was an extraordinary remark. I am writing to the hotel complaint system to ask for a full refund for my son. Is there any other method of complaining, any other authority I can write to? Thanks. |

The Indian Restaurant- food was excellent and staff/service were great! The only thing that was good about this hotel was the Indian restaurant called Kazi. The food and service was excellent. Hotel Receptionist seemed she was always in ahurry. In my 2 day stay there, the fire alarm went off each morning due to electrical fault. The water stopped running whilst I was brushing my teeth and showering. No reduction in price or apology was offered. |

Friendly helpful staff. Heating was instantly adjustable - important as I stayed during a cold snap, but was able to make sure my room was not stifling like so many hotels. Excellent walk in shower - most hotels only have over-bath. Two mornings out of the four stayed my pre-ordered room service breakfast arrived late and only after I had called to chase it up. The only walk in showers are in first floor rooms and there is no guest lift - difficult for people like myself with mobility problems As this seems to be a modern building not sure how this complies with dda |

The rooms were clean but the hotel had a damp smell in the corridors The price we booked under on line was not the price they wanted to charge. They tried to charge more but did change the invoice when picked up. |

Parking was bad, no lighting and resembled a bit of waste ground surrounded by bins. Bar wasn't open. Beds were the hardest I have ever slept on. |
