Initially, I had only booked to stay at the Ramada Hotel Warwick because I had no other option for that evening. After reading numerous scathing reviews on the hotel I was not expecting much at all. However, I found the whole hotel experience a complete pleasure and cannot fault them in anyway. My room was lovely, clean tidy and stylish. The staff were constantly available for help and were warm friendly and efficient. The overall impression of the hotel was clean and well designed, with a superior quality feel. Such a shame they have such a poor reputation, but obviously a lot has improved!! Very impressed and I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Only thing I could think of was the breakfast selection was a little lacking in selection. Seemed to be a very basic choice of things to eat so maybe a wider selection of food would be beneficial?

location it was very noisy both nights, there was no lift to the 3rd floor and the stairs to the 3rd floor are very steep and dangerous and after walking up the 3 floors with a bad knee i find that my key did not work in the door and had to go back down to reception and then back up to my room . I booked here as i have stayed in a lot of Ramada hotels abroad mainly Bahrain and Dubai ,these were excellent so i felt very let down with my stay here as the decor was very poor and old looking throughout the hotel and in the dinning room there were big patches in the ceiling and a hand rail missing on the stairway also in one corner there seemed to be lots of tableware and other items just left there for all to see,in all love Ramada hotels but not this one ,such a shame.

Comfortable and close to stoneliegh show ground (kit car show) The room was very good but I found it to hot and stuffy/airless. I know being on the ground floor (room 110) always posses a security problem but a means of ventilation would have made the stay much more pleasant. I am sure there are secure window fittings that would allow some form of ventilation without compromising safety/security. For the future I would only book upper floor rooms just to ensure the availability of fresh air by the opportunity of an opening window. Having commented thus both myself and my wife did enjoy our stay.

The room had been recently refurbished and was clean and very comfortable. Hotel staff were helpful ensuring we had a room away from areas undergoing refurbishment. There was no mention on the website that refurbishment was being carried out at the Hotel. The real downside for us was the dinner menu which was restricted to either Italian menu (early evening) or Indian menu (later evening) Why Oh Why is it assumed that everyone likes Pasta or Curry??? While the facilities were fine the food would stop us going back.

I thought the staff were outstanding. They tried so hard to make sure we were comfortable and didn't make us hurry to do things- we were at a family wedding and it couldn't have been more relaxing to start and finish the day at the hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in the world and this one really impressed me on value for money, on the facilities in the rooms but most of all on the staff and their care for us. Wilma Miller

The staff were exceptionally lovely, the hotel let them down. Very very dirty, the entrance hall is deceivingly lovely but the rooms are in need of some serious DIY

Friendly efficient staff. Although the room i had was lookimg 'tired', they are in the process of remodelling and when this is complete, there should be no issues. Breakfast and dining facilities excellent.

The bed was comfortable and staff helpful My impression was the hotel would be in the countryside but it was right on a busy road. On checking in the reception said 'you aware that we are currently renovating' no we weren't. We requested dinner for the evening and was advised because of a function dinner would be served in a room upstairs and we would have the choice of Indian and Italian menu. The waiter showed us a menu from the function! which was buffet and said the kitchen was very busy. Due to a language barrier the waiter also did not understand our requirements. Breakfast was poor. Overpriced for a four star establishment.

Friendly staff. Nice room. Good breakfast. Overall not bad value. It's clear that the hotel has and is undergoing a refurbishment. Whilst the decoration is good on close inspection some of the work isn't a brilliant finish. For example holes drilled in wrong places left in walls or tiles. Towl rail and shaver socket not properly fixed. Painting around doors rough and unfinished wood.

Good location, friendly staff, security patrols throughout the night to safegauard vehicles Not much to do other than the bar and restaurant, would recommend to get to the restaurant before 21.30 as the italian menu was discontinued as the 'English' side of the kitchen closed, and unless you like Indian that was all that was on offer. Breakfast was reasonable choice and good quality.

Value for money, and cleanliness It was under new management and there was a shortage of staff on duty and the staff were not experienced It reminded me of Fawlty Towers in many ways although the staff were polite, they seemed lost.

Staff excellent / attentive - provided surprise birthday cake and wine after dinner. Much appreciated. Decor vey good / ongoing improvements to other side of building did not affect our stay at all. Problem with hot water from showers was explained and we were informed that it was to be rectified the following day. Plumbers had not made a tidy job with installation in our room. The fittings looked good quality but not obvious how to alter temperature was a problem to me. ( I suggested they should be made idiot proof.) Would definately stay there again.

Staff quickly fixed error of overcharging. Staff friendly and helpful. Quiet location out of hustle and bustle and despite renovations. Decent shower once you got it working. Told both by staff and in room menu that the Indian restaurant also had a continental menu, only to find restaurant had no idea about continental menus and only offered Indian/Italian or could cook something especially for us. Neither my husband or I can eat Indian or Italian, but still like to have a choice of what to eat. Made us travel elsewhere/hotel or restaurant lose our money. Staff made an error with our booking through booking.com and would've charged us an extra £10 if we hadn't picked up on it. No lift to get upstairs-makes getting heavy bags to room awkward when have a bad back. No offer to get someone to help with bags.

Pleasant clean and very welcoming Although there was a choice of food and plenty of it, the food needs to improve in quality if you want people to return. This is not a complaint, but an observation from our experiences.

“We enjoyed a warm welcome from the very friendly staff ,which always adds to your stay. The building was wonderful, just the right mix of old and new ! The late afternoon meal of ,fish and chips was good but the ;"Full English Breakfast" really did it for me.The location was perfect and so atmospheric too;also near to so many places to visit.Sadly we were not able to stay more than one night but we do plan to arrange another visit to ,Old Mill Inn.” John, Stoke-on- |
